Family members told police Bolton had a history of playing Russian roulette. Bolton was taken to Kaiser Pennanente Medical Center in Fontana, police said.

Victim's kin sought SAN BERNARDINO The San Bernardino County Coroner's Office is trying to find anyone who knows the family of Christopher Frank Gonzales, who was killed Monday when he was struck by a train in Colton. Gonzales, 27, died at the scene, said Deputy Coroner Jim Sedgwick. Gonzales carried identification, but investigators do not have a current address or phone number for his family. "We know they are around here locally. They used to be in Colton, and neighbors said they moved to San Bernardino," Sedgwick said.

The accident occurred short- 824-0800, Ext. 48610. Healthy individuals ages 17 to 80 and weighing at least 1 10 pounds may be eligible to donate blood. Donors receive a free mini-physical and cholesterol check. For more information or to schedule a Blood Bank tour, call (800)879-4484.

Environmental Systems Research Institute will pay only about 10 percent of the previous amount, which was $97,000 an acre for the development zone the company is in. Although the storm drain fee was reduced throughout the city, the central area, where ESRI is proposing its expansion, had the highest fees. That's because the downtown area needs more work than any other part of town to protect it from flooding, officials say. Under the new plan, part of the cost of building storm drains and other flood-control facilities to protect downtown will be distributed throughout the city. He has lived in the High Desert since 1978 and is chairman of Apple Valley's recreation and park board. If elected, Holman said he would work for a tax cut to help spur California's lagging economy. "High taxes are strangling job creation," he said. "We're overre-gulated and overtaxed." He said the state also needs to gain more control of trade policies with Pacific Rim nations.

He called for reforms in state budgeting procedures. "Cities and local agencies need a more stable funding base, free from the threat of a state grab." Olberg, 33, director of government relations for the Building Industry Association, and Rothschild, 52, a Victorville city councilman, took out their nomination papers Monday. Both call for reducing excessive government regulation and said they would work at the state level to stimulate the economy.
