Wednesday, 198S Ukiah Daily Journal. Ukiah. About friends The family of Martin E. Farnsworth has planned a wedding reception for Marty and his bride, the former Midge D. Stoddard, Saturday, June 29, from 7 to 9 p.m.

at 1541 Glenwood Ukiah. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend. The honored couple exchanged nuptial vows and rings Friday, June 21, at the 15th Ward chapel in Layton, Utah, before Bishop Darcel D. The newlyweds are taking a honeymoon trip through Northern California to visit family and friends before returning to Ogden, Utah, where they will make their first home. Marty, the son of Mr.

and Mrs. Donald Farnsworth of Potter Valley and Gaylene Farnsworth of Windsor, was raised in the Ukiah area. A Potter Valley High School graduate, he presently is serving in the U.S. Air Force at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Midge, the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Morris Stoddard and Ella Rae Tate of Layton, Utah, is a graduate of Layton High School and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints seminary. Enrolled as a student at Weber State College, she currently is employed as assistant manager of Foot Locker. Linda Stevens served as the bride's attendant. Marshall Naker was best man.

The bride wore satin and lace, fashioned with V-neckline, lace yoke and full, floor-length, lace skirt, gathered to a satin bodice. She carried navy and baby blue roses, accented with white roses. Vince Angell Vincent Angell, a I9.i2 graduate of the University of California San Francisco School of Pharmacy has been elected president of the UCSF Pharmacy Alumni Association for 1985-86. Angell, who owns and operates Angell's Mill Oaks Pharmacy in Ukiah, along with his wife, Margaret, has been a longtime resident of Ukiah. He is an active member of many national and local organizations including the Mendocino County Pharmaceutical Association, the Rodwood Empire Phar maceutical Association and tfn- Knights of Columbus.

He has served on the IICSF board of governors for the past eight years and has been its vice-president for the last year. Chitchat Sandretto retires A retirement party for Dorothy Sandretto, pre-school teacher at Stepping Stone School, is slated for June-30 at Todd Grove Park, located on the west end of Ukiah, next to the golf course. The public is invited to join the staff of Stepping Stone in wishing Sandretto a happy retirement, according to NicoletteF.Tal. The event will begin at 11 a.m.

Swim registration Registration for the second session of "Learn to Swim" classes will be Saturday, June 29, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Municipal Park pool, intersection of Park Boulevard and Walnut streets at Todd Grove Park.

The swimming session will be from July 1 to July 12. Classes, which will be from 9 to 11:45 a.m., are Beginning 1, Beginning 2, Advanced Beginner, Intermediate, and Swimmer levels.
