6. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The bazaar will feature handmade holiday crafts, wreaths, ornaments and gifts. Proceeds will benefit adults with disabilities.

Embroiderers guild The Eastern Shore Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America will hold its Christmas luncheon Thursday at the Chester River Yacht and Country Club in Chestertown. Slides on clothing embellishment will be shown. There will be no other meeting in December. Knights of Columbus assist seniors The Easton Knights of Columbus recently donated $738 from its benefit bingo to the Talbot Senior Center in Easton. Adrian DeRoy made the presentation to Senior Center Treasurer James Robinson, Jessie Caldwell, coordinator, and Libby Lowery, program planner.

The Easton Moose Lodge 1520 also donated $500 to the senior center. Flu shots offered at 2 clinics with their doctor to verify this. If you have any questions, contact your family physician or the Talbot County Health Department at 822-2292. Persons receiving the vaccine at the Talbot County Health Department are being asked to make a $5 donation for each injection. Legals Legals community services such as fire and police department employees should be considered for vaccination programs so as to minimize the possible disruption of essential activities that can occur during severe epidemics.

This year's flu vaccine provides protection against Type A Taiwan 186. A Shanghai 1689 and BYamageta 1688 influenza virus infections which are more likely to occur in the 1990-1991 flu season. Influenza is an acute viral illness of the respiratory tract, characterized by fever, sore throat, headache, cough and muscle ache. Without complication, the recovery usually takes two to seven days. Adequate protection takes 10 to 14 days after immunization.

High risk people should get the flu vaccme as soon as possible. The pneumococcal vaccine also will be to people who have not received it before. People who want this additional vaccine should check Due to continued high demand, influenza and pneumococcal vaccinations will be offered for two more weeks at the Talbot County Health Department. The Center for Disease Control recommends the vaccines for persons who are in the high risk category. Physicians, nurses, and other personnel who provide care to these high-risk groups should also be vaccinated to reduce the chance of transmitting influenza to their clients.

Graves CHESTERTOWN Charles Henry Graves of Chestertown, the owner of the Uptown Club and Restaurant in Chestertown for 42 years, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 1990 at his home in Quaker Neck Estates. He was 71. Born in Kent County on March 3, 1919, he was the son of the late Annie Floyd and Edward Graves. He was educated at the Henry Highland Garnett School in Chestertown.

He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. He received a good conduct medal, the American Theater Service Ribbon and the Asiatic Pacific Theater Service Ribbon. A past vice president of the Kent County Chamber of Commerce, he was a member of the Parker White American Legion Post 143 in Chestertown, the Kent County Democratic State Central Committee, the Kent County Democratic Committee, and the Kent County branch of the NAACP. He had received the NAACP Achievement Award and the Elk's outstanding service in business award.

Mr. Graves is survived by his wife, Hilda Graves; two sons, Brian Graves of Chestertown and Charles Waters of Dakota, Ga. a daughter, Monica Wooley of Hockessin, and two granddaughters. Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Janes United Methodist Church on Cross and Cannon streets in Chestertown.

The Rev. E. Victor Acquach-Harrison will officiate. Burial will be at Jane's Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 p.m.

26, 1990. Holiday concert Saturday The Washington College Community Chorus, under the direction of Kathleen Mills, will present its annual Christmas concert at 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8. "Winter Solstice" is the theme of the program, presented with assistance from the Kent County Arts Council. Music to be performed will include old and new settings of familiar carols, such as "The Holly and the Ivy," "God Rest You, Merry Gentlemen," "The Twelve Days of Christmas," "Jingle Bells," and "Deck the Halls." Two selections will be accompanied by brass: "Gloria" by Guillermus Dufay and "In Dulci Jubilo" by Michael Praetorius.

"Sleep, Holy Baby" will feature soloist Anne O'Donnell. A special work to be performed is "little tree," a poem by e. e. cummings set to music by Kathleen Bennett for mixed chorus, piano, violin and double bass. Bennett, who also arranged "God Rest You, Merry Gentlemen," for the chorus, has set three other e.

e. cummings poems to music, "little tree" was commissioned by the chorus to honor Bennett, a recent Washington College music graduate, and to focus on the upcoming celebration in 1991-92 of the centennial of co-education at Washington College. The concert will be presented in Norman James Theater in William Smith Hall at Washington College. 820-6500 Helen A. Murray ROYAL OAK Helen Adelaide Murray of Royal Oak, a homemaker, died Saturday, Dec 1 1990.

Born in Royal Oak on July 9, 1904, she was the youngest daughter of 18 children of the late Henry Reuben and Sarah Ellen Oliver Thomas. She attended public schools in Royal Oak and Baltimore City. After she returned to Royal Oak, she was a domestic employee for residents of the area. Mrs. Murray was a member of St.

Paul's United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the United Methodist Women and served as a stewardess. She married William Clayton Murray in December, 1961. She was a second mother to the children of her brother, Harvey; especially Carter, whom she raised. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Murray is survived by six nephews, William, Walter Darnell and Roland Murray and Carter and Bobby Thomas; and a niece, Lillian Green.

Services will be held Wednesday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Royal Oak. The Rev. Joseph Henry Sr. will officiate.

Burial will be at Richardson's Cemetery, Easton. Friends may call at the church tonightObi from 7 to 9 p.m. Arrangements by George H. Dashiell Funeral Home, Easton. Ann Spalding EASTON Ann Spalding died Sunday, Dec.

2, 1990 at her home in Smithville near Federalsburg. She was 65. Born on April 26, 1925 in Federalsburg, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Eunice C. Todd Wright.

A graduate of Federalsburg High School, she later attended the University of Arizona. After taking up residence in Washington, D.C., she taught dancing at an Arthur Murray Dance Studio there. Later she taught dance in several Washington area elementary schools at the same time she worked for the Civic Education Association, a publisher of school brochures and aids. In 1979 she moved back to the Eastern Shore. She took a job as a receptionist in the Physical Therapy Department of Memorial Hospital at Easton.

She retired in 1987. Mrs. Murray is survived by a son, Mark Spalding of Lake Havasu City, three sisters, Doris W. Wolter, Virginia W. Rosser and Phyllis M.

Kennedy, all of Federalsburg; four brothers, Robert E. Wright Jr. of Preston, H. Louis Wright and Eugene 0. Wright, both of Sea-ford, and Dale L.

Wright of Federalsburg, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday at Bloomery United Methodist Church near Federalsburg. The Rev. Al Taylor will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to the Bloomery Cemetery Fund, co Elmer Robinson, Rt.

2, Box 253, Federalsburg, 21632. Capt. Edwin Dashiell CAMBRIDGE Captain Edwin R. Dashiell of 604 Locust Cambridge, a former Chesapeake Bay ferry pilot, died at his home Monday, Dec. 4, 1990.

He was 93. Born on Taylors Island on Feb. 10, 1897, he was the son of the late William F. and Mary Navy Dashiell. Capt.

Dashiell was raised on Taylors Island, where he attended public schools. At age 18 he joined the U.S. Coast Guard, and during World War I he served in the U.S. Navy aboard troop transports between the U.S. and Europe.

He later sailed with the Merchants Miners Standard Oil and piloted ferries on the Chesapeake Bay. After the Chesapeake Bay Bridge was built he was captain of the governor's yacht. Retiring in 1957, he and his wife moved to Cambridge. Capt. Dashiell married Geneva Mitchell in 1923.

Mrs. Dashiell died in 1982. For the past 18 months, Capt. Dashiell had resided at Tender Love Inc. on Locust Street in Cambridge.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, a member of Cambridge Lodge No. 66, A.F.&A.M, and a Shriner with the Boumi Temple. He also was a member of Dorchester Post 91 American Legion and Choptank Memorial Post 7460, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Legali Legals Legals Julian E. Markham, Jr.
