Maccalene Cesario, an Italian resident of this village, who lives in one of the cottages opposite the O. w. passenger station, was severely injured this morning. She was engaged in some work in the yard at the rear of her home. At the end of the yard Is a steep bank of several feet.

In some manner she slipped and fell to the bottom of this. She was unable to arise until assistance arrived, summoned by her calls for help. She was carried into her home and medical attendance summoned. Examination showed that she had received a bad fracture of one leg near the ankle and it was deemed advisable to take her Oneonta. for X-ray examination.
