Flandreau voted wet and Viborg, Irene, Egan and Springfield all voted dry. Valley Springs voted from the wet into the dry col-26, umn by a majority of 3.

Redfield went dry by a majority of 42. F. A. Rigler was elected alderman. The "wets" carried the election at Groton 141 to 120.

License lost 72 to 31 at Frederick. Milbank went wet -by a majority of 11. The wet ticket headed by Neehan for mayor carried. Eureka was voted wet by a clear majority. License carried in Mobridge by a majority of near 50.

Frederick was voted wet. Mitchell went wet by 210 majority. Mellette went dry; Ashton wet; Andover and Bristol wet. Sherman has shifted from the prohibition to the license saloon column. Towns which have had saloons and voted wet follow: Garreston, Hartford, Tyndall, Mitchell, Dallas, Kimball, Clear Lake, Marion Junction, Sioux Falls, Chamberlain, Huron, and Howard.

Towns which remain in the dry columns are: Rapids, Centervil'e, Canton, Beresford, Viborg, Irene, Woonsocket. Towns which have changed from wet to dry are: Eagan and Valley Springs. at Huron went wet by 893 to 598. Wessington Springs went dry by a tie vote. Wolsey voted agairst license.

HOBO NEWSPAPER Gambling Closed at French Lick Indianapolis, April With Tom Taggart former national democratic chairman back of the movement, the gambling places at French Lick, are to be closed according to -reports here today. Since the raids on French Lick several years ago it is said Taggart has not been interested in any way in the hotels conducting the gambling rooms at the health resort. However, his part in closing the offending places is said to be due to his family objecting to the notoriety which has become attached to the resort and the connection of Taggart's name with it.

The general has been making a brave fight against a combined attack, of inflammatory rheumatism, grip and pneumonia for the past eight weeks and was considered out of danger when he was stricken with paralysis which it is feared will prove fatal. General Conklin will be 82 on the 5th of May. In spite of his advanced years, he has always been exceedingly active in state affairs and especially in the politics of the state.
