Flossie Anderson, Chanute, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Spafford, Joplin, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Spafford, Skiatook, Miss Grace Spafford, Kansas City, were also here for the funeral of their father which was today at the Methodist church.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bowen arrived Monday from California for a visit with relatives and friends. The ladies of the Presbyterian church are making plans to serve a chicken dinner at the church Thursday, September 18. Mrs.

Gerald Knepp, Iola, underwent an appendectomy operation at St. Johns hospital yesterday. Jack Kelley, who has been spending the summer with his mother, Mrs. Ira D. Kelley, left Sunday to resume his school work at Kemper military school in Boonville, Mo.
