Mr. Reed was born in Springfield, son of George and Almeda Webster. He was retired owner-operator of Reed Jewelers which closed in 1983, member of Modern Woodmen of America and American Federation of Musicians Union. He married Louise Creigh-ton in 1936. She died in 1973.

Surviving are his granddaughter, Terri Lynn Landry of New Orleans, cousin, Lucille Garner of Nashville, Tenn. in Dodge Grove Cemetery, Mattoon. Mr. Kelly was born in Hazel-dell, son of Winfield and Mary Kelly. He was employed by Wad-leys, Illinois Central Signal Department Mattoon City Sewer Department, member of Masonic Lodge and Union Congregational Church.

He married Ina McCoy in 1932. Surviving are his wife; daughters, Mrs. W.E. (Phyllis) Davis of Pineland, Mrs. Carl (Janice) Cox of Mattoon; brother, Joe of Jonesboro, five grandchildren.

Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Lowls PALMER Mrs. George (Alice Durbin) Lowis, 89, of Vandalia, formerly of Palmer, died 11:30 a.m. Tuesday (Oct 4, 1988) in Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia. Services will be 10 am.

Friday in Connolly-McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery, Palmer. Mrs. Lowis was born in Palmer, daughter of James and Susan Durbin.

She was a member of St. Maurice Catholic Church, Morrisonville. She married George Lowis in 1918. He died in 1967. Surviving are her son, Harold of Quincy; daughter, Mrs.

Howell (Annabelle) Sanders of Shobonier; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. Five brothers and five sisters preceded her in death. Martz WINDSOR Luther E. Martz, 83, of Shelbyville, formerly of Windsor, died 12:50 p.m. Wendes-day (Oct 5, 1988) in Shelby Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville.

Services will be 130 p.m. Saturday in Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials: St.

Paul's Lutheran Church, Shelbyville. Mr. Martz was born in Shelby County, son of George E. and Anna Rose Martz. He was a retired agricultural teacher for 20 years at Windsor High School and had worked for a feed and seed store in Windsor and Sullivan.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He married Gladys R. Graven in 1935. She died in 1980.

Surviving are his son, Carl E. of Burke, daughter, Sue Ann Sinclair of La Canada, three grandchildren. Reynolds SHELBYVILLE Isaac M. Reynolds, 87, of Shelbyville died 7: 07 p.m. Tuesday (Oct.

4, 1988) in Shelby Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Howe Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville.

Mr. Reynolds was born in Fayette County, son of Clarence and Hattie Reynolds. He was self-employed. He married Bertha Dixon in 1921. She died Feb.

27, 1988. Surviving are his sons, Lester and Dale, both of Shelbyville; daughters, Mrs. Delbert (Irma) Trimble and Mrs. Charles (Amelia) Williams, both of Shelbyville; stepbrother, Clarence Bartscht of Shelbyville; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren. He married Noami Morr in 1922. Surviving are his wife; daughter, Dorothy Grant of Altamont; sister, Edith Rush of Fort Worth, Texas. One sister preceded him in death. Hershey TAYLORVILLE Mrs.

Richard (Charlotte R. Rueger) Her-shey of Taylorville died 4:20 p.m. Tuesday (Oct 4, 1988) in St. Vincent Hospital, Taylorville. Services will be 2 p.m.

Friday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Tay- -lorville. No visitation. Arrangements by Connolly-McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville. The body will be cremated. Memorials: Trinity Lutheran Church or Christian County YMCA.

Mrs. Hershey was born in Detroit daughter of Charles F. and Charlotte D. Rueger. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, American Association of University Women, board of American Red Cross, building committee of Trinity Lutheran Church, PEO Sisterhood and Taylorville Women's Club.

She married Richard G. Hershey in 1940. Surviving are her husband; son, Timothy S. of Taylorville; daughter, Mrs. Ronald W.

(Carol) Periard of Taylorville; brother, Dr. Milton J. Rueger of Grosse Point four grandchildren. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Hubner ASSUMPTION John W.

Hubner, 72, of rural Assumption died 5:55 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 4, 1988) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption, with visitation after 5 p.m.

Thursday. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials: donor's choice. Mr. Hubner was born in Shelby County, son of August and Effie Hubner.

He was a farmer and a member of Assumption Nazarene Church. He married Hazel Middle-ton in 1942. Surviving are his wife; son, Jim of Assumption; brother, Walter "Shorty" of Ferndale, sisters, Lora Green of Osborne, Mrs. David (Isabelle) Chamberlain of Moweaqua; one grand-chad. One daughter and one brother preceded him in death.

Kelly MATTOON Lebert Kelly, 77, of Mattoon died Tuesday (Oct. 4, 1988) in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Schilling's Funeral Home, Mattoon, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Thursday. Burial will be in Tuscola Cemetery. Mr. Drake was born in Effingham County, son of Isaac and Eva Drake. He was a retired carpenter, member of Loyal Order of Moose, Mattoon, and a World War II veteran.

He married Mamie Taylor in 1942. She died in 1976. Surviving are his daughter, Shirley Smith of Tuscola; sisters, Nell Cornwell of Newton; Stella Fulk of Farina; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Elder, 82, of Sullivan died 5:30 ajn. Wednesday (Oct. 5, 1988) in Douglas Living Center, Mattoon. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m.

Thursday. Burial will be in Camfield Cemetery, rural Sullivan. Memorials: First Christian Church, Sullivan. Mr. Elder was born in Coles County, son of Charles and Ada Elder.

He was retired from Brown Shoe Co. and a member of First Christian Church, Sullivan.
