Stag Cigar Store. W. B. Perkins. Just Escaped a Licking The good wife of one of our most ardent baseball fans awoke suddenly early Sunday morning, to hear strange noises being made by the partner of her joys and sorrows.

Woman like, she immediately became curious and spoke rather sharply to him. She thought he was crying, but she was mistaken; he was laughing. By dint of questions she succeeded in getting the story. The baseball fan dreamed that he had attended a baseball game in an eastern city. He occupied a choice seat on the upper portion of the bleachers and had yelled himself hoarse, when he spied a peanut vender down below.

Now peanuts and circuses are decided weaknesses with this party and in a moment it became absolutely necessary to his peace of mind that he should have peanuts. He made his wish known and a sack was immediately tossed up to him. The Lead man, without thinking, yelled "Charge it," and went on eating peanuts. Of course the vender was hostile and demanded his coin. Reaching down in his pocket the gentleman pulled out the first coin with which his hand came in contact; but, horrors proved to be a nickel with a hole in it.

Just at this point the man's wife obligingly woke him up. He thanked her for keeping him from being licked, but it will always be a source of rethat he did not learn the final gret score of the ball game. The Grand Tour The Lead High School Girls' Glee club and the orchestra will leave Lead about Wednesday morning for a tour of about two weeks, during which time they will give nine concerts. Superintendent Bigelow has been very busy arranging for dates, and this has been a most difficult task for the reason that so many towns on the east side wanted to pay the price, but time would not allow the musical organization to fill engagements everywhere they were wanted, hence it was necessary to pick the best of the towns and at the have an eye out for convenience as to location. The towns same time where the young people will give concerts, as the itinerary 1S pow arranged, are as follows: Mitchell, January 23. Yankton, January 24.

Vermillion, January 25 and 26. Brookings, January 27. Watertown, January 28. Aberdeen, January 29. Pierre, either January 22 or ruary 1, the date not having been settled up to a late hour yesterday afternoon.

Musical Director Myra K. Peters will be in charge of the concerts and Mrs. A. H. Bigelow will accompany the party.

Coming Basket Ball Games There will be considerable activity with the high school students in the line of basket ball for the next several weeks and Carl G. Campbell, the athletic instructor, has been busily en gaged in making up a schedule. As yet he has 3 several dates in prospect, but not far enough along to announce as a certainty. However, those with whom arrangements have been made are as follows: Rapid City Y. M.

C. at Lead, Friday evening, January 24. Lead junior boys and girls, at Spearfish, Friday evening, January 24. Spearfish normal, at Lead, Friday, January 31. Fort Meade, at Lead, Saturday, Feb ruary 1.

Spearfish normal girls at Lead, probably February 7. School of mines, Rapid City, at Lead, February 8. Chadron academy at Lead, February 14 and 15. Lead with Spearfish normal, February 21. Lead girls with Spearfish normal, February 28.

Just a glance at the above will show the lovers of basket ball in this city that there will be some real games during the remainder of this month and February. The game for this week with the Rapid City boys promises to be something extraordinarily good. The lineup for the home team will probably 1 be the same as used against the Indians with the exception that Charles Brooks will take the place of Ray Duncan at center. A PERFECT CURE BY USE OF CUTICURA REMEDIES "I was raw from my shoulders down to my feet. As 800n A8 I went into a warm room I could not stand the itching sensation. I tried several remedies with no relief, and I consulted a doctor who told me that I had eczema and gave me a box of ointment.

I used it about two weeks and benefit. I then tried another ointment with the same result. Then I was advised to try the Cuticura Remedies. I got a cake of Cuticura Soap, a box of Cuticura Ointment and a bottle of Cuticura Resolvent and commenced to use them. By the time I had used a about half of each of them I could see an improvement.

After that I continued to use them until I had used four cakes of Soap, three large boxes of Ointment, and two large bottles of Resolvent in four or five weeks' time. At the end of this period, my skin was as clear as it could be. It is now three or four years since I used them and I wish to state that the Cuticura Remedies are the greatest in the world not only for eczema but for female trouble, from which has been a sufferer for years.
