The situation was rehearsed by the superintendent at length. He toid of the first use of the portable school at Durfee school, as the community began to grow and the building was not large enough. Gradually the board of education was able to add to the Durfee building. Last year the portable school was used at rush, and at which time all persona hnving claims against said estate are notified and requested to attend for the purpose of having the same adjusted. At the close of the evening parents closed around him and there was a general handshaking and good fellowship atmosphere, l'eople who had first agitated the petition and the later had resented the inability of Mr. Engleman to meet it immediately, were first to reach his side.

All present expressed themselves with Mr. Engleman that until the financial situation is lightened and cleared up. they must be patient in the matter, and work with the hoard in meeting school problems, rather than against it. Mr. "arret Pleased.
