Community Service Chairman Mrs.

Herbert Born reported 143 hours contributed during the past month. Mrs. Franklin Pierce, auditing chairman, presented the annual report of the auditing committee, which was accepted. Announcement was made of the forthcoming Supreme National Convention, which will commence Sept. 28 at the Fairmont Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans, La.

Mrs. Moline was elected delegate to the convention with Mrs. Harold Buckles as alternate. Peterson of Gulfport, formerly of Ludington; and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mielke in Eustis, Fla. Mr. Atkinson served Ludington for a number of years in his employment, and Mrs.

Lada died unexpectedly Saturday, April 10, in Greenville. Miss Dolores Duplessis gave a report on cards sent to members who are ill and to families of deceased members. Open-faced sandwiches, mints, nutmeats, coffee and tea were served from tables decorated with apple blossom centerpiece and pink candles with place mats and napkins completing the decor.

Next meeting will be held Wednesday, May 12, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Simon Family Center with Group 8 hostess, Mrs. Donald Stahl, chairman. Ward Town Club Holds Meeting The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Edward J. Tyler of 410 N. Emily St. and the late Edward J.

Tyler. The couple was attended by Mrs. Louis Nice, sister of the bride, of Manistee and Kevin Tyler. The bride wore a yellow floorlength gown with white lace accenting the long bell sleeves, and bodice of gown styled with lifted waistline above the gently gathered skirt. She carried a bouquet of white and yellow carnations and white lily-of-thevalley.

Her headpiece was secured to a bouffant veil of illusion. Mrs. Nice, maid-of-honor, wore a light blue rayon floorlength gown. The bodice and sheer sleeves were trimmed with white lace. She wore a blue, bow headpiece and bouf.

The bride is a 1966 graduate of Mason County Central High School and a' 1970 graduate of Ludington Beauty Academy. The bridegroom was graduated from Ludington High School in 1961 and is employed as a draftsman at Jackson Vibrators and works at Plumbs Ranch Market. Mr. and Mrs. Edward L.

Sylvester Larsen, organist, accompanied Miss Sally Miller who sang "The Lord's For her wedding, the bride wore a long sleeved empire-line gown of nylon over rayon featuring satin ribbon interwoven through embroidered lace band accenting the neckline, and extending down the back of the gown to the chapel-length train. Her nylon elbow-length veil of illusion was secured to a pearlized apple blossom crown. She carried a cascade of yellow sweetheart roses and daisies. Miss Jennifer Miller, maid of honor, wore a floor-length gown of nile green dotted Swiss with white lace accents at the neckline, bodice and sleeves. A narrow satin ribbon and bow accented the waistline of the gown.

A matching floral headpiece with bouffant veil was worn by the maid of honor, who carried an old fashioned colonial bouquet of white carnations and daisies. Robert J. Tanis served his brother as best man. At the reception at the home of the bridegroom, following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs.

Andrew Tanis were host and hostess, and Miss Charlene Wexstaff cut and served the wedding cake. Miss Sally Miller and Miss Carol Guenthardt cared for gifts, and Miss Julie Tanis and Miss Jeannette Tanis cared for the guest book. Punch was served by Mrs. Leon Olson of Muskegon, Mrs. Leonard Laird served coffee.

The bride is a 1969 graduate of Ludington High School, and the bridegroom, a 1968 graduate of Ludington High School, attended West Shore Community College, and is employed at Handy Things Mfg. Co. Following their southern Michigan wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel J.

Tanis will reside at Tamarac Mobile Homes Park on route 3 Ludington, Xi Alpha Chi Elects Officers For Coming Year Xi Alpha Chi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority met Thursday evening in the home of Mrs. Russell Miller Jr. Mrs. Walter Sadosty, president, conducted the business session. Announcement was made that, Thursday, April is the final day for reservations for Founder's Day which will be held at the Elks Lodge, Thursday April 29.

Elected to office for the coming year were Mesdames Ronald Lyon, president; Rodney Moore, vice-president; Roy Kanouse, treasurer; David Betz, corresponding secretary; Gerald Schneider, recording secretary and Gerald Ponko extension officer. Mrs. Miller introduced Mrs. Donald Brennan, who presented an interesting demonstration of cake decorating, giving the cake decorated to Mrs. Douglas Anderson, who was the member with the nearest birthday anniversary.

Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Thomas DeYoung received special gifts. Mrs. Ponko, co-hostess and Mrs.

Miller served cheese cake pie topped with strawberries. A daisy floral arrangement was used as centerpiece on the serving table.
