The Ludington Daily News, Wednesday, June 12, Mrs. Maki pies In California FREE SOIL Mrs. Bernard Maki, of Fremont, died recently. Mrs. Maki, who was injured in an automobile accident, and her three children planned to accompany her mother, Mrs.

Hazel Bennett, home for a visit shortly. Mrs. Bennett had spent the winter there. Survivors include her husband, two sons, a two-year-old daughter, her mother, Mrs. Bennett; a sister, Mrs.

Elizabeth (Harry) Smalley of Free Soil and a brother, Jackie of Kalamazoo. Mrs. Theodore W. Johnson of Ludington is an aunt and Mrs. Bessie J.

Bennett of Free Soil her grandmother. Sympathy is extended to the relatives. Church Observes Children's Day FREE SOIL Children's Day was observed at Methodist church Sunday morning and was a combination of the regular worship and church school in observance' of the Rev. J. J.

Hitohens, who is on vacation. A coffee hour preceded the program when parents of church school children had an opportunity to meet teachers and officers, visit the rooms and become acquainted with the curriculum. Miss Susan Wolf played the prelude followed by the processional hymn, "Holy, Holy, Holy." Mrs. Lester Wolf played all accompand- mente. The welcome was given by Mrs.

Drury HigiMill. The call to worship was given, followed by the Senior choir singing "Come, Ye Children, Sweetly Smging." Ronald Chappel led in prayer and read Psalms 100: 1-5. Announcements were made by Mrs. Highfill. followed by the Junior choir singing "I Love to Tell the Story." Beth Tubbs did the solo part.

In charge of litany of dedication were members of the Junior group. Members of the church school sang "Saved Every Day the Week." Maurice Campbell offered dedication of offering prayer. and Tom Highfill and Duane Roger Chappel had charge of tlw collection. Melvin Carey gave Hie sermonette, followed by the Lord's Prayer and singing of "True Hearted, Whole Hearted." Benediction was offered by M'aurice Gam-pbeH with Miss Mary Louise Highfill playing the posilude. Ushers were Duane Chappel and Tom Highfill.

Mrs. Frank M. Eddy is church school superintendent with Mrs. Highfill assistant. Teachers include Mrs.

Arthur Mayiraixl, adult class; Mrs. Letter Wolf, senior Bible School Ends With Church Program FOUNTAIN Bible school program was held Sunday morning at Fountain Methodist Church, following a week of Bible school, class; Misss Susan Wolf, junior class: George Shaw, kindergarten and primary class, under supervision of Mrs. Sam Goodman, general superintendent, The program opened with the children marching into church. Pledges to the American Flag, to the Chrislian Flag and to the Bible were given by the children in uni- wtn with the congregation. This was followed by the sons, "God So Loved the World." The children sang "Good Morning," and joined the congregation again in ihc hymn "Jesus Loves Me." The kindergarten class, which was taught by Mrs.

Mervin McVicker assisted by Miss Sharon Stark, reeited verses witli a rhythm band. Mrs. Sam Goodman, who taught the Sunbeam class, presented her pupils with Michael Budzynski reading Psalm and the class gave the call to worship and the responsive reading. This was followed by the song "Jesus Called Them." Disciple class of the school, taught by Mrs. Walter Bvtdzynksi, gave a presentation of their work and learnings of the past week which they had put into scroll form.

Junior high class presented a lesson on the Lord's Prayer and a demonstration of evil and good by puppets. The morning offering was taken with the offertory prayer by Judy Briggs and Jane Surrarrer. The entire group sang "Ga- cheus," "Happy All The Time," "Behold," "Jesus Said," "Who So Eve Will" and concluded with the song "Goodbye." The congregation sang "Jesus Loves Even Me." Benediction followed and certificates were given to the children. The Bible class included Todd, Steven and Kevin McVicker, Deborah, Nfioinl!
