Loughborough News Wednesday July 21st 1982 Authors turn up to aid publishers' sales drive Former BBC Ty newscaster Robert Dougall comedian and broadcaster Charlie Chester novelist Geoffrey Hoyle Royal biographer Dr Ian Morrison and storyteller Eileen Colwell all had lunch in Loughborough last week Each has a book due out in the near future all of which feature on local publishers latest lists and they were invited to the Beeches Road headquarters to help sell their work to the trade Determined to beat the recession and maintain their target of printing binding and selling 100000 books a day Ladybird have decided to invest in good authors and a TV advertising campaign as well as new machinery Managing director Mr Malcolm Kelley said Ladybird needed to make changes to keep up to date acter
