Kopp Thursday ordered attorneys to file briefs on the charge that Kenneth Crook, operator of a "uranium tunnel" at Lone Rock, is practicing medicine without a license. The judge said the case is important because a half-dozen similar tunnels open or will be opened soon.

"The sole question," Judge Kopp said, "is whether the language of the statutes is broad enough to cover a situation like this." Crook said his tunnel, opened last May, is lined with what he termed "low grade uranium ore." A visit costs a dollar an hour.
