football battle 21 to 7 In a game replete with long runs sparkling passes the Spiders scored their Initial touchdown In the third period when they marched 85 yards on six plifys Johns Hopklng also pass that would have given Citadel a touchdown to tie the score Hawkins Injured Hawkins whose all round perform ance today marked him as a great player was taken out of the game in the second period after a slight injury After that the 1 backfield ap peared to lack punch and exhibited a slower pace It was in this period that Citadel registered its first down Gray big fullback going through the
