Tuesday evening the 2Gth, at Brown Creek church, was the scene tt one of the prettiest weddings of the season, when Mr. Robert Lae- Morgan led to to the altar Miss Clara Por ter and there plighted their troth; The church was tastefully decorated with evergreens of holly, etc, appropriately arranged, which made it quite a pretty scefie, a large arch being built just in front of the altar and covered with ivy, from which hung large cupid bows of white satin ribbon. Long before the hour for 'the ceremony the church was packed with interested friends and relative of the popular couple. Huntley, of Wadesboro, entered from a side door and met under the arch, when Rev. A. B. Caudle, with a pretty ceremony, and a few appropriate remarks made them man and wife. D. Porter, of Brown creek neighborhood, and is a young woman of many accom plishments and is much loved and admired by a large circle of friends. The groom is one of the most popular young ousiness men of Wadesboro and haa a bright future before him. They will make their future home in adesboro.
