She was born September 27, 1935 in Bellevue. She was the beloved wife of Charles A. Peters, former Director of the Allegheny County Mental Health and Mental Retardation Program, and beloved mother of three: Charles Jr. (Chip), Stewart and Anne Peters Hager-ty. Mrs.

Peters was for many years a worker in and supervisor of medical laboratories in SW Pennsylvania. For some years, she was the laboratory supervisor for Women's Health Services. Her last position was research assistant at the Eye and Ear Institute of UPMC where she did research for the National Space Agency. Georgina was preceded in death by her parents George and Luella Chamberlain of Baden and her sister Luella Ann Chamberlain-Zeinkham of Beaver. Viewing on Sun.

Age 75 of Pittsburgh died peacefu-ly at home after a lingering illness with heart disease on December 23, 1999. Prior to his relocation to Pittsburgh as Vice President of Manufacturing for the Elier Division of Wallace Murray Corp. Mr. Roche rose steadily through the ranks of the Scranton, PA plant to plant manager. He culminated a 39 year career with Wallace Murray upon retiring in 1982.

While Mr. Roche was born and raised in Scranton, he and his wife of 50 years, Ann, have resided in Rolla, MO, and Gilford, N.H. as well as Pittsburgh. During his lifetime in Scranton, Mr. Roche was active in the St.

Paul Athletic Association, The Green Ridge Little Leauge and Teener League, The Scranton Chamber of Commerce and the Knights of Columbus. Son of the late John J. Roche and Barbara Hem-mer. Mr. Roche is survived by his wife Ann, his six sons, John, Tho mas, Michael and Kevin of Pittsburgh: William of Medina, OH, Patrick of Hanover, PA, sister Dolores Harding of Scranton, PA; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild and several nieces and neph ews, predeceased by brothers Will iam and Gerald and sister Margaret Ramsey.

Mitchell, a WWII Veteran earned two Purple Hearts a Bronze Star fighting in the South Pacific. He was a graduate of Penn State Columbia University where President Dwight D. Eisenhower presented him with the Robert Peele Prize for outstanding scholastic endeavors. Certified Professional Engineer, Mitchell earned an excellent reputation as an expert on Mine Safety.

He was a winner of The Kingery Award was a member of numerous Mine Engineering, Mine Fire Mine Rescue Institutes Organizations. He is the author of 'Mine Fires', the foremost book on Mine Safety. Mitchell dedicated his life to mine rescue, safety 8c fire prevention. As an expert, he was involved with with invention of smoke ventilation systems fire prevention suppression systems including airport runway foams. He was called on to help after many disasters including numerous mine explosions, the Apollo launch pad fire, the MGM Grand Hotel fire the Kuwait oil fires.

For his efforts Mitchell earned two Secretary of Labor Recognition Awards Meritous Service Citation from the Department of Interior.
