"ED" "JERRY" 75, of Harrison City, died Saturday, May 5, 2001 at the home of his daughter. Born June 4, 1925 in Pgh; son of the late Jeremiah C. and Mary S. (Hume) Turner. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a bus driver for Yough School District and was a radar mechanic for the Army National Guard.

Member of the church of the Immaculate Conception, Irwin. Veteran of World War 1 1 serving with the U.S. Army. Former organist for St. Anthony RC Church, Homestead, annual planner of PFA Pilgrimages to Our Lady of Czesto-chowa Shrine, in Doylestown, PA. Studied music at Duquesne University and was a Drill Instructor for the PFA and Choreographer for their drill teams.

11am. RANKIN PHYLLIS ARCHER Age 76, died May 4, 2001 at home under the care of Hospice Savannah. She was born in Cleveland, OH and was a graduate of Miami University at Oxford Ohio where she was a Delta Gamma. Before moving to Savannah in 1988 she lived in Pittsburgh, PA and Hazlehurst, GA. She was a volunteer at Chandler Hospital, a member of The Landings Club and Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, George; a daughter, Constance Schopfer of Syracuse, NY; a son, Robert Rankin of Los Angeles, CA; also four grandchildren. Sullivan Sept. 12, 1927. They had four children, daughters, Alma Davis of Upper Marlboro, MD, Doris Moore Kirk of West Valley City, UT and sons, Paul James Sullivan of Pgh and Larry Sullivan of Nokomis, FL; 13 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Esther Bahn of Oakland, CA and Loretta Tschippert of Pgh. She is preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, John and Fred; two sisters, Emily and Annie; and one much-loved grandson, Larry Jr. Marie was a foster mother for 87 babies for Catholic Charities in Pgh, PA.

Sirianni, Jennifer Lynn Sirianni, Michael Sirianni and Colin Sirianni; preceded in death by sisters Margaret Cuda Rose Rupert and brother Victor Sirianni. Mr. Sir-anni was retired from E.W. Curry Co. where he had been the Comptroller.

During WWII, he served with the US Army. He was a graduate of Sewickley High School and had attended both Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh. Active in civic affairs, he served seventeen years on Bellevue Council including terms as Vice President and President. He served on the Executive Board of the Allegheny County Boroughs Association and as a member of the Advisory Board of the Allegheny County Police Academy. He was also active with the Bellevue-Avalon Little League and the Bellevue High School Athletic Boosters.

Mr. Smatlak was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Wilmerding and he was a WWII US Army Veteran.
