For nearly half a century Mr. Peabody has been prominent in the financial circles of the country. In 1865 he organized the firm of Kidder, Peabody one of the prominent financial institutions in the world. The other members of the firm are Frank 4. Webster, Robert Winsor and Francia E.

Peabody, the son of founder of the bank. In addition to the last named Mr. Peabody, is survived by a widow and one daughter. Mr. Peabody was born at Springfield, in 1831, the son of Rev.

Plymouth, Sept. Plympton, the actor, was arraigned in the district court charged with assault with Intent to murder Captain George Martin, who was a guest at the actor's summer home and held in $5,000 bonds, Plympton pleaded not guilty, He expected to furnish 'bonds. The casa was continued one week to await the outcome of Martin's injuries. At the Boston hospital, to which Martin was removed, it was stated that the man's recovery was doubtful. As far as can be learned, the two men were alone in the house a week ago.

During the night sometime Martin sustained injuries about the head and a possible fracture of the skull. Early in the morning the actor asked one of the neighbors to telephone for a doctor. The supposition is that either Dr. Wendell H. Adams or Dr.

Arthur S. Holmes, who attended the injured man, gave the district attorney some details of Martin's condition, and that officer started to Investigate. Plympton submitted to arrest quietly. All be would say. was: "I can only say that It was a most unfortunate accident, most unfortunate.
