Survi vors include her daughter, Susan Robinson of San Bernardino; three sons, Billy of Everett, Daniel of West Hollywood, and Doug of San Bernardino; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Montecito Memorial Park, Waterman Avenue and Barton Road, Colton. Interment will follow. The Associated Press SAN DIEGO Hannes Alfven, a University of California at San Diego professor who won the Nobel Prize in 1970, died Sunday at his home in Sweden. He was H6. Alfven, a native of Sweden, won the Nobel Prize in physics for his work in plasma physics, the study of charged particles that represent 99 percent of all matter the universe. He also challenged the "Big Bang" theory of the universe's origin, arguing that it did not begin in a cosmic boom 20 billion years ago.

Instead, he said the universe always existed and probably always would. But his field of expertise was in the study of how electrical currents affect plasma, which can be found in the hearts of stars and interstellar clouds. His work created a better understanding of the nature of stars and the solar system. formerly lived in Bloom-ington for 17 years. He was a construction superintendent for Weir Cassidy Corp.

and was an inspector for the Clo-vis Unified School District. He served in the Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Fresno and the Independent Order of Foresters. Survivors include his wife, Gertie; three daughters, Sandra of Loma Linda, Gloria of Bloom-ington and Robbie of Chowchilla; his sister, Mae Brennan of Great Falls, four brothers, Gordon of Washington, Richard of Helena, Paul of llavard, Mont, and Bobby of Benecia; six grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. No service will be held.

Survivors include her husband, John; two sons, Rudy Ybar-ra of lone, and Richard Ybarra of Fontana; four daughters, Lucy Millan and Julia Martinez, both of Ontario, Rachel Ybarra of Bloomington, and Barbara Serra-to of Rialto; four brothers, Gabriel Quesada and Victor Quesa-da, both of Pacoima, Jose Martinez of Mexico, and Carmelo Gonzalez of Los Angeles; two sisters, Gregoria Arreguin of Pacoima, and Grace Lupo of Palmdale; 20 grandchildren; and 36 greatgrandchildren. Pusateri, a native of Chicago, lived in San Bernardino eight years. He worked as a truck driver for Vons Grocery in Ontario. Survivors include his wife, Janet; three sons, Dan of West Covina, Dean of Kerrnarsville, N.C., and David of Wichita, his daughter, Theresa Miller of Rancho Cucamonga; his brother, Ron of Oakland; his sister, Del-ores Stevens of Chino; and seven grandchildren. SALAZAR Rialto resident Lucy M. Salazar, 87, of Rialto died Saturday at Laurel Convalescent Hospital in Fontana. The cause of death is unknown, pending a doctor's report. Salazar, a native of Blanco, N.M., lived in Rialto 25 years. Survivors include her two sons, Roberto of Rialto and Christino of Wilmington; seven grandchildren; and 13 greatgrandchildren.
