Park Women Need Appreciation They Really Aren't So Hard to Understand By Ruth Millett For my men readers who confess that they just don't understand women, here are a few fundamental facts: A woman not only wants to know that her man loves her, she wants her women friends to know it, too. That is why a woman appreciates gifts husband gave it to This is also why she gets so upset if her husband is the least bit critical of her in front of others and why she raises the roof if he pays too much attention to another woman at a party. A woman lives for praise and appreciation.

Find fault with her and she is hard to live with. Tell her she is wonderful and she'll break her neck trying to be a perfect wife. A woman needs to be needed. She is often at her best when the going is rough and when her husband needs her help, her encouragement, and her ability to make the best of things. The reason why she often seems to grow dissatisfied and frustrated when the uphill struggle is over is simply GOLDEN QUAYLE PLANS POTLUCK SUPPER SUNDAY Golden Quayle Club's mystery pals will be revealed Sunday at a 6:30 p.

A woman who is crazy for things, who has to keep ahead of the Joneses, who is never satisfied with what she has, is a woman who doesn't feel loved. As long as a woman is sure that she is loved, things aren't of paramount importance. A woman doesn't really want to be boss. She is never as proud of overruling her husband to get her own way as she is when she's able to say, "John simply put his foot down." A woman's home is as important to her as a man's career is to him. That is why she will spend weeks trying to find just the right shade of material for the living room draperies.

Also that's why she will be so frustrated if her husband doesn't notice them the minute he walks into the room. It is as big a blow to her as it would be to him if she failed to grasp the importance of a business deal he managed to put over. Women aren't really so hard to understand--not if a man doesn't expect them to act or think like men. A board meeting at 7 P. m.
