Washington Bureau WASHINGTON Tulsa Mayor Bill Ixtortune on Monday helped launch a national campaign to assist low income working families in filing their federal tax forms and keep them away from costly refund loans is a program that not only attacks poverty but also builds stron ger communities neighborhoods and Laortune said Headed up by the Annie Casey oundation the campaign is de signed to make more families aware of federal tax credits they for and also keep their refunds from be ing diverted into the hands of cash lending A study by the Brookings Institu tion showed that in some areas Tribal Council voted Monday night to set aside a minimum of 25 percent of its gaming revenues for tribal programs that include health care education and housing for the poor ueled by the introduction
