JR. On Tuesday, Jan 20, 2004 in Columbus, NC. Born December 24, 1919, the son of the late Herbert Sr. and Erma Pfaub Mosca of Pittsburgh, PA. Col.

Mosca received a BA degree in Education from the University of Buffalo and a MA degree in International Affairs from George Washington University. During WWII he served in Fighter Squadron VMF-114 in the South Pacific. During the Korean Conflict he served in VMF-212. After serving on the faculty of the Armed Forces Staff College, Norfolk, VA he retired in 1967. After retirement and 7 years at Bethpage, NY working for Grumman Aerospace, he was transferred to Grumman International and spent the next 11 years in Asia as V-Pres.

of Grumman International. He retired in Dec. 1984. Surviving are wife, Betty McCord Mosca of Columbus, NC; daughter, Nancy Wagner of Ormond Beach, FL; sons, Herbert P. Mosca, III of Dallas, TX; Tom Mosca of Columbus, NC; brother, Charles Mosca of PA and a sister, Lois Bentlage of Johnson City, NY and five grandchildren.

Mr. Smail graduated as Valedictorian from Trinity Christian School in Pittsburgh, in 1988. He was employed at Hohman's Cleaners in Swissvale for many years. He was an avid Steelers, and Michigan sports enthusiast, enioyed darts, and being an active member of the Acorn Club and Moose Lodge in Swissvale. Also surviving are three brothers, Brian and David Smail of Clarion and Jonathan Smail of Pottstown, as well as one stepsister, Kelly McClaine of Royersford, and three stepbrothers, Todd McClaine of Phoenixville, Scott McClaine of Clarion, and BJ McClaine of Allen-town.

His paternal grandparents, Ernest and Eleanor Smail of Limestone and Adeline Smith of Corsica, many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as a special friend, Maxine Lu-kas of Pittsburgh, also survived him. An infant sister, Emily Elizabeth Smail, his maternal grandfather, Samuel "Dick" Smith, as well as an uncle, Richard Smith, preceded him in death. Joseph H. of Orchard Lake, Ml. EJ graduated from Columbia University in 1940, and the University of Pittsburgh, and pursued a career in industrial engineering before enlisting in the US Navy. LT (JG) Smith was presented with the Silver Star medal at the MTBTC in Melville, Rl, and was cited by Vice Admiral Barbey, USN, for "gallantry and intrepidity in action" in the Southwest Pacific. In the Pacific 15 months as a PT boat ensign with Ron 7 and Ron 12, he wears six combat stars, the Philippine Liberation ribbon and the Purple Heart.

He continued in the Naval reserve until his retirement July 1, 1964, having completed 7 years, 6 months, and 27 days of satisfactory Federal service. Bud's civilian career as 0 realtor began as a salesman for Gunnison Homes and led him to industrial de- velopment for Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad which culminated in a commercial real estate association with Realty Growth Corporation until his retirement. Bud Smith is remembered for his numerous civic contributions. He served as Post Commander of the American Legion Post 161 of Wexford, PA, was actively involved with the Republican party in Allegheny County, and was a member of the parish family at St. Teresa of Avila in Perrysville.

He served others through his memberships in the Kiwanis Club of Pittsburgh and the Loyal Order of Ihe Moose as well as numerous other February 4, 2004, age 76. Beloved husband of Judy; Father of Janet, Barbara Fry, Raymond 8 Ross Klein; Also nine grandchildren and four great- grandchildren; Brother of Lynn Cain 8( Darlene Reardon; He was in the US Navy WWII for two years, also in the Army for 40 years where he attained the rank of Brig. SR Age 75, of Bethel Park Green Tree, on Wednesday, February 4, 2004, Bob was a kind and generous person, often helping those less fortunate in his own quiet way. Although distance separated him from his children he was always a caring and loving father. Bob started working at the Green Tree Gulf Station during high school and later became the owner for 25 years. He then owned and operated the Hillcrest Gulf Station in Bethel Park for 20 ears before retiring in 1983.
