A ttiiti bl thli, a el Hei Much of Aftyfiiiftg. -At the organisation meeting of the "Skaters Coffee Gulper Club" held at the Roller Drome day afternoon Esther Armstrong was elected president, Ruth Guderian, vice president -and Frances Wiese, secretary. Lorotta Ditsworth is the treasurer. The board of directors is made up of Hazel Schneider, Betty 'Webb, Irene Slobe, Riedel and Irene Mueller. Alma Crafg, Lula Dodds and BeUlah Seely will be the committee gulping cup stance, and Gloria Crawford, Connie Ktn- sey and Emma Lou Simpson will be the committee on anti-sllrping arid saucer and dunking problems.

Starting out sixteen members, all 100 per cent coffee gulp, 4 ers, indications are that the club will grow in membership from now on. The Skaters Coffee Gulping Club meets every Wednesday afternoon at the Roller Drome, putting in an hour of skating exercise and then the 3:00 o'clock gulping session. I was a guest of the club Wednesday afternoon and following the sign-up of the ladies into the Gulper club Al Missal took a picture of the club and after which the photographer and I were treated to coffee and pumpkin pie and which we enjoyed with the new members, of the Gulpers. And I noted that every one of them sure enjoyed ahd knew their coffee gulping, even though some of, them thinned it out with cream but which isn't any violation. And so Al' gona is now the proud home of 'another Coffee Gulper Club, the Skaters Coffee Gulping Club, and' more power to 'em in their drive for more gulper members.

The high winds and the cold and wet rain Friday were not so hotly enjoyed by' anybody anQ I'll admit that I shivered and shuddered with the rest of 'em. And Duane Lighter asked me what was I doing out in the rain because account of I was so sweet' and wet weather would likely sort of melt me to I don't know where Duane got the information that I was sweet, though it sounded nice to hear him say that. And a little later Sheriff Art Cogley' kidded me about what cold and wet raina would do to an old guy. like me and I should wear a diving suit to keep me dry and Hugh Raney said I wouldn't suffe'r much in wet weather because on account of I was all wet from a political that as.it. 'irray be all but'1 admit I am It was Haflan Frankl and Fred Timm who shouldered fire-arms 1 Friday when the atmosphere was plenty damp and the thermometer hovered near the freezing mark and sallied forth; in search of the elusive ducks and pheasants and though they shivered in the cold 'their aim was plenty good because on account of they came in with the limit in feathered swimming poultry.

In Fred said that if ify hadn't been for the limit laws'they would have gotten enough quackers to necessitate a truck to haul 'em to town. Of course there were many other searchers out after ducks on Friday and conditions favored them all getting their limit but so far there hasn't been a single duck offered for the table. Wish I could hit the side of a barn and had a gun to hit it with, I'd be getting some ducks and pheasants, too. But I take off my hat to Harlan and Fred, they're regulau shots and never miss when they draw a bead, so to speaK, And So a Life Is Saved Today I met a Christmas 'Twas sent to-me with much appeal, That I buy now, one penny each, To T.B. stricken reach.

One seals in envelope, with letter which set out the hope That I would gladly dig in purse To help in fighting cursei One dollar I'was asked to give Toward helping someone else to live, One dollar's help expense defray To picture T.B. with X-ray. And what's a dollar, but a'mite, When it is spent set health right, And some man! woman, girl or boy, Is given hope for health and joy. That Christmas Seal is but a cent And when you buy 'tis money spent For purpose that is noble, grand, In saving life within our land. There comes to all of us at times An urge to spend but foolish dimes, To buy of this to buy of that, A urge in fact- Why not such oft-times urge deny, And save the dime, intend to buy, A Christmas Seal to help the fight Against that awful T.B.
