Travel To Moon May Be Reality In A Few Years CHICAGO (INS) Travel to the moon' may be only a few years away.

That's the prediction today of Dr. Fred L. Whipple, director of the Smithsonian Astrophysical Laboratory at Cambridge, who has outlined a space conquest time table. Whipple, professor of astronomy at Harvard university and boss man of the nation's 2,000 voluntary "moonwatchers," assigned to track the course of artificial satellites in the sky, said American rocket experts plan to land a telltale explosive flare on the moon next year. The lunar detonation will enable earth observers to calculate the dust layer thickness on the moon, which some experts believe may be more than a mile thick.

Other Goals Set The space exploration expert, who spoke Wednesday night at the University of Chicago, said that American technology is equipped to achieve additional abjectives in outer space conquest in the following time table: Land scientific equipment on the moon by 1960. Send a satellite with instruments around the moon, also by I960. Place a man in outer space orbit for a few days or hours and return him safely to earth by 1962. Launch a man-carrying space satellite 2,000 miles above the earth by 1965. Enable a man to circumnavigate the moon in a rocket by 1965.

Send a small manned expedition to the moon by 1968. 8:00 On An Aisle ,8:15 On An Aisle 18:30 On An Aisle 8:45 On An Aisle M-Squad Mr. Adams, Eve Sinatra Show M-Squad Mr. Adams, Eve Sinatra Show Thin Man Plyhouse of Stars Patrice Munsel Thin Man Plyhouse of Stars Patrice Munsel with hogs at the west end of a) February 6 Admissions: Joan Evelyn Daugherty, R.R. 1, Greenwood.
