Fair's third husband. The complaint that the plaintiff aud the ilelendant were married in Baltimore on the ftth day ol September, 1867. and immediately thereafter came to Caliioruia. Alter a residence of six months they went to Mexico, and resided there lour months. Tlie twain then removed to Panama.

"And she mrther alleges that on the 23d day of September, just two years after their marriage, the defendant, without cause ou her part, left her at a totel in I'anama, and willuliv deserted her. she asks that she be permuted to reauiue her maiden name. THE PLAINTIFF In this case is a young and handsome woman, in fact only eighteen years uf age. She was married at the ripe age of thirteen years, while phe was at school in the East, and Mrs. Fair is credited with the achievement of arranging the Jtnarriage, in order to strengthen her connection (With the Fair family.

Mrs. Uunt testified against Sirs. Fair on her first trial for the alleged murder of A. P. Crittenden, stating that Mrs.
