This work Is progressing nicely, some have completed the job, and Thanksgiving week will soe the 1919 crop practically all In the crib. Shucking reports from farms In this section indicate a yield somewhat under the government estimate in bushels per acre no doubt exists, however, that the better quality will make up the deficiency. "Farmers show little inclination as yet to contract corn for delivery at local stations. Weather and wagon roads are now favorable for a movement from the farms and we see no reason why the grower will not sell a reasonable quantity of corn when it Is convenient for him to make delivery. It looks now like the battle ground of price will be around the $1,25 figure to the farmers In December.

Figures have been put out by a leading expert to prove that It costs $1.30 a bushel to grow corn under present conditions, but one seldom sees two men who can agree on corn raising cost, and our guess Is that most growers will have a nice little nest egg In the bank if they sell at $1.25. for the Klllera 25c higher; breeders CD Company Factory At the last meeting, the directors of th; Dual Truck Tractor Company authorized the purchase and installing of $25,000 worth of additional machinery. Mr. Jno. K. Gumpper, the president and general manager of the company, left Friday for Chicago to make arrangements for procuring the machinery.

When these machines are installed, the company will be enabled to finish complete, in their own factory, the rear axle housings and other castings. This will enable them to ma nufacture Dual Truck-Tractors complete up to the motor and electrical equipment, harden and grind, heat treat and cut all of the necessary gears now being done outside the factory. The company will then put on a night shift, working night and day trying, in a measure, to catch up with waiting orders. The Iowa agent wants one-hundred tractors; the Kansas man, two-hundred; the Illinois man, all he can get. The company has twelve state agents waiting for Dual Truck-Tractors, and a number of county agents.

The Decatur made Dual Truck-Tractor will be equipped with electric lights, electric self-starter, and generator. The patented air washer will be part of the equipment. This air washer is automatically kept filled with water; it prevents the forming of carbon, cools the engine, prevents dust, dirt, and grit reaching the motor, saves fuel, and furnishes the requisite amount of oxygen for perfect combustion. Competent engineers and automobile owners predict this device will become standard equipment on all automobiles. The patterns and castings for the air washer were made at the MHlikin University, Decatur.

It is estimated the production of one Dual Truck-Tractor per day will earn six percent net on the total capital stock of the company. A visit to the factory at 901 East Eldorado Street, will convince any competent judge that the time will not be long before the company will be turning out five tractors per day. Anyone desiring to become financially interested in this growing Decatur enterprise, should write to W.
