Ohm. II. Suillli Annwert the 1 1 nf Sul.t vt Wntur I. F. EDITORS TIMES I expected my article would provoke discussion and so It has, but It Is only the determination of a physical fact that we are after and wo propose to get know why.

The whole question Is, who Is telling the truth My how VanDiusr does brlstlo. But ycu know bustle Is not alwas'slniluDtry." Now regarding his reasons lormj plar noUbolng feasible, he says first it would back watoijovor a road leading to Otlsvllle. This Is not so my water lovel is the same as ho uses. But granting that It did we could build a cantilever bridge whloh could bo swung by electricity from tho Noverslnk perhaps, or we wero in a hurry and was. not too particular we could use common stone and dirt and raise tho grade a little.

Second--I meant just what I said atout tho saving of will give details later regarding land overflowed There will b3 less than 100 aorea of land, none of which Is very valuable There Is only ono dum to bo built at cost of 18,000. Regarding of plpf, the wulor today is flowing ut rate of 947,000 gallons In 24 hours as compared with 1.500,000 just (even daje ago. Thore are many other considerations why 1 would use a 110-Inch pipe. Fourth--Wo have the right to relay pipes In tho old right of wuy. Won'i do any damage.

Now the rest of urtlolo--1 have witness that he Is the man I asked II.lie ever looked up tho gravity plan and he said no. But In three days ho psreonally to all tho papers and giver out his Important dUcovery. When ono Is troubled with a chronic complaint It becomes necessary to gel a first class specialist. Now Middletown's complaint of no water has become chronic by reason of its duration. Now I do rot regard competent lo puss any vnluabU cp'nlonon an engineering matter, for this out ol his rcuch.

We miiot get this right this time, and how can you hope to do It If jou stay In tho same old rut? My plan will give you double tho water for considerably less money. Tho cuts referred to In my plan, namely, on the Corwin and Borlholf land, aro still necessary In tbolr proposed plan. Af I said before we avoid any tunnel and any need of purchasing four miles of new right of way, and any need of buy- Ing mill properties. Van has put himself on record on July 24, 1803, and this Is what 1 wunted to know: Who would really father such a nonsensical scheme an you are asked as Intelligent citizens to vote upon. Am glad the Water Board did not put the reply over their algnutures Come out to-night and hear a full, fair discussion.
