'Squire Raymond and S. S. Sessions argued tbe case and 'Squire Taylor put OTJourke under bonds. Tbe Wbittemore co-operative grain elevator is a great success. Frank Potter is manager. About 100 farpers living adjacent are combined in the enterprise. It has made Wbittemore tbe market for a big section of country and added wonderfully to the growth of the past few years. In as dull a month as June over $7,900 was paid out for produce. Wesley and Swea City have these co-operative elevators and they have been very successful at both places. Wbittemore has grown as much in five years as any town in Iowa. It bas all tbe conveniences of a city even to the fine bath rooms Aug. Fenske bas put in. Tbe state bank building is a very handsome building and the German-American bank building, while smaller, is a beauty. It has a creamery as good as the best, where the patent skim milk machine was invented. The school building is of late style and commodious, etc., etc. Wbittemore is a business town, and is going right to the front.
