His career later on turned toward atomic plants, building the James Fitzpatrick Nuclear Plant and the Nine Mile Two Nuclear Plant. He was loved and respected by all of his employees. Art grew up in the Pittsburgh area, and was a member of the Wilkinsburg Elks Lodge 577.

He always had a passion for flying. His dream was realized on May 18, 1941 when he soloed in the ArmyAir Corp. He flew a B-24 Liberator and flew 50 missions, 7 of those over Polesti, Romania, without casualties. He had a long time association with the Pittsburgh Pirates as a Security Guard at the former Forbes Field. He volunteered at the Forbes Metro with over 4500 hours of service. He was a member for 60 years at the former Calvary Lutheran Church in Wilkinsburg, a former member of the Flutter Wheels Square Dance Group and a member of the AARP Pittsburgh East Boroughs Chapter. Stefan was born in Kos-cian, Poland in 1912, was an engineering graduate of Warsaw Poly-technia University. As a member of the Polish Air Force, he was mobilized prior to the outbreak of WWII.

He evaded capture made his way through South-eastern Europe, eventually re-ioining the Polish Air Force in England. He was a Maior a Squadron Leader where his facility with languages engineering background were invaluable. After de-mobilization, Stefan immigrated to Canada in 1948 practiced engineering related to the steel industry. He moved to Pittsburgh in 1955 where he was active in the area's steel industry until retirement 8c afterwards as a consulting engineer. Stefan was a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society, a Chartered Mechanical Engineer in England registered as a Professional Engineer in several states provinces in Canada.

com KELLER VIRGINIA C. 89, of Colonie, formerly of Pennsylvania, died Thursday, May 27, 2004, at Eddy Ford Nursing Home, Cohoes, aftera brief illness. She was the widow of B. Ray Keller, Sr. Born and educated in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Warren J.

and Eliza Steerman Corley. IN 1942 she moved to Midland, PA, where she resided until moving to Gibsonia, PA in 1959. Mrs. Keller had been a resident of Colonie since 2000. A member of the Bakerstown, PA United Methodist Church, she was also a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Latham.

Mccracken WILLIAM M. 87, of Martinsburg, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away in his sleep, late Saturday afternoon, May 29, 2004 at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring. He was born Dec. 29, 1916 in Altoona, son of the late W.P. and Maretta (Miller) McCracken.

He married Dorothy Frees Dec. 25, 1939, in Altoona. Mr. McCracken was a member of the Mount Lebanon United Methodist Church, Pittsburgh. He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad starting in 1937, where he held summer iobs until 1939, when he was hired as Special Apprentice in the New York Division.

After moving to 15 various locations, and advancing at each iob. In 1968 he was sent to Pittsburgh as Resident Engineer for the Penn Central Railroad.
