The executives said, the development indicated a strengthening of the steel market with customers "beginning' to feel that the market in which they could get very short delivery times was reverting to one of more normal Conditions." They said spot orders had stretched to about six to eight weeks in advance of delivery from about 30 days. Dravo Begins Coal Plant in Tarentum Dravo Corp. has received a contract for approximately $3 million to design, engineer and construct a fine coal preparation plant for Penn Allegh Coal Company's No. 2 Mine near Tarentum. Engineering and procurement for the new facility have been started with commercial operation scheduled for October.

The plant will be capable of producing 500,000 tons of high-quality metallurgical coal per year.
