C12 AT AY, 1 9 2 0 2 2 A A A I I PARSONS, Brenda Lynn Passed peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2022 in the arms of loved ones in her home in Hawkesbury. She was surrounded by serene sounds and enveloped in the love of all who knew her. starlight will be shining brightest on her mother Irene (nee King); siblings Brian, Jim, Lynda, and Laura (Drew); nieces and nephews Jamie, Caitie (Colin), Brendan (Laura), Bailey and Erica; her great-niece Billie; as well as special friends and anyone fortunate enough to meet her. Brenda was mother to so many of us and cherished visits, photos, and videos of those she loved especially the wee ones. Not one to stick out in a crowd, you remembered meeting Brenda.

She spoke to your soul and made you feel important and loved never judged fiercely protected. generosity and kindness will always be remembered. Special thank you to her immediate care team for supporting her through this journey: Dr. DiCintio brought comfort, confidence and compassion to Brenda and should be wearing a cape; Dr. Vickers navigated us through treatments with compassion and care, Maureen, private nurse and confidante, the personalized care of the day treatment nursing team at the Hawkesbury Hospital; Carol, Jen, Lynda, and Laura who were beside her every step of this journey.

In respect of wishes there will be no Funeral Service. The ability to access hospice care for others to afford a peaceful passing was important to Brenda. He was a loving husband of 63 years to Jil Carol Johansson (deceased); loving father to Michael John, Kerry Ann Payette (Chris Bell), grandfather to Madison Joy Bell (Nick Turcot) and MacKenzie James Bell. Brother-in-law to Joyce Payette, Lise Payette, Lyn Johansson and Gary Johansson and uncle to many nieces and nephews. His joy for life was always on display engaging everyone with a warm smile and lively conversation. His strong sense of community came from his deeply rooted faith which granted him love and energy to help countless people through a variety of causes. A devoted family man who lived his life with a spring in his step, love in his heart and a warm hug for all.

His remarkable presence will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and community. Visitation from 10 a.m. 11 a.m. followed by a service 11 a.m. 12 p.m.

PEDERSEN, Kristian It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Kristian Pedersen in his 97th year, peacefully at the Jewish General Hospital on September 29 surrounded by family and friends. He leaves us to join his beloved wife Elizabeth (d. 1999) and his cherished grandson Christopher (d.

2013) He is survived by his sister (Sonja), three children Jeffrey (Helen), Sandra (Antonio) and Margaret (Michael), five grandchildren, Nanci (Kevin), Janna (Pedro), Adam (Maryam), Kiana and Lucas, and his six great-grandchildren Kian, Syan, Cylus, Jaxon, Matteo, and Marco Kris was born in Thorso, Denmark in 1925, to parents Thorvald and Margrethe Pedersen. After WWII, he served in the Royal Danish Navy, then embarked on a lifelong career as a carpenter, builder and construction contractor, ultimately working as the consummate gentleman contractor on many of Montreal's finest homes. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to his wonderful caregivers Amanda, Maria, Charity, Diana, and Olivia who gave him such loving care and support in his final years. PEARSON, Evelyn July 29, 1943 Nov 6, 2022 Peacefully passed away on Sunday November 6, at 79 years old. Survived by her daughters Karen and Tina Carey. Grandchildren Kayla, Brandon, Emma and Zoey. Also, survived by her sister Louise Pearson Bernier. Predeceased by siblings, Florence, Arthur and Bobby.

Celebration of Life, November 27, 2022, 12:00 p.m to 2:00 p.m. Royal Canadian Legion Branch 3015, Henri Durant Lachine QC, H8S 1R5 PETSCHE, Ernst (Ernie) Jun 9, 1935 Nov 7, 2022 On Monday, November 7th, 2022, Ernst "Ernie" Petsche, loving husband and father of three sons, passed away at age eighty-seven. A creative and enthusiastic problem solver, Ernie designed a multitude of local buildings and homes during his nearly 50 year career as a draftsman and designer. Ernie had many passions throughout his life as an avid sailor, a prize-winning hobbyist photographer, inventor of new winter sailing sports, and builder of his very own sailboat.

His sense of adventure led to a sailing voyage across the Atlantic during his retirement years. As a dedicated father, he could be found helping his sons get their morning newspapers delivered on time before ski school or building fun contraptions in the yard. His devotion to his wife Carole was unwavering, and one could be sure to see flowers and champagne for every wedding anniversary. Ernie was best known for his willingness to help his family, friends and neighbours without hesitation. He was a man one could rely on and he will be missed.

He is survived by his wife Carole and their sons Mike, Chris and Thai and their six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 25th, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Collins Clark. PITMAN, James Lovelace (Jim) James (Jim) Lovelace Pitman, aged 94 years, died at his home in Victoria, BC, on November 4, 2022.

For the past few years, dementia had taken a toll on his life. Born in Montreal, Jim grew up and worked there as an electrician, before moving to Vancouver Island in 1991 with his wife Barbara for their retirement years. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Reece) Pitman and leaves three daughters: Dale (Thomas) of San Francisco; Lynn (David) of Montreal, and Doreen of Victoria. He will be missed by his three grandchildren: Heather (Alessandro), Nathan, and Henry. He was the son of Elsie (Turner) and Frank Pitman; he was the brother of Cynthia Clinton and the late Roderick Pitman.

Jim was an avid canoeist, skier, and camper; he and Barbara spent countless time enjoying these activities and imparted a love and appreciation of the outdoors to their children. Jim was an active member of Grace Church (LaSalle, Quebec) and Parkdale Church (Victoria). He was also an enthusiast of jigsaw puzzles and always had one in progress. Burial services will be held at a later date. Should you wish to do so, donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to Camp Livingston (Magog, Quebec) or to a charity of your choice.

Forever in our hearts. SHIU, Peter Yue-Ming Aug 15, 1946 Nov 13, 2022 Peter Shiu passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Ottawa, Canada, on Sunday November 13th, 2022. Born in Canton China in 1946, Peter, who was the eldest of four brothers, distinguished himself at a young age earning a full scholarship to St- Joseph's High School in Hong Kong and continuing his studies at Montreal's McGill University. He enjoyed a fruitful career in telecommunications before dedicating his life to his family. Peter is mourned by his loving wife France, his devoted son Antoine (Jodie) and grand-children Jordan and Simon.

Peter's cherished brothers also survive him; Mark (Salina) and children, Ignatius, Aaron, Ambrose; Joseph (Annie) and children Paul, David, Monica; Stephen and his daughter Elaine. According to his wishes, a private ceremony will be held. STEINBERG TAJFEL Ricky (Erica) We are saddened to announce the passing of Ricky (Erica) Steinberg Tajfel, who passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 17, 2022. Ricky appreciated the extraordinary care of her doctors and nurses, most notably the dedication of Dr. Patenaude, her doctor and friend for 22 years. Ricky had a fierce zest for life and loved nothing more than spending time with her family and close friends. These special times far outweighed any challenges she faced. Her spirit continues to live on in all those whose lives she touched.

YEOMAN (NEEWATTS), Joyce (Beverley) May 27, 1937 Nov 6, 2022 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Yeoman on November 6, 2022, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Yeoman, loving mother of Darrell, Dale (Greg) and Cheryl (Dave), and cherished grandmother of Jonathan and Matthew. Joyce leaves behind her brother Leslie (Diane), sisters Carole (2017) and Grace Swan (Ron), her dear Auntie Nell, as well as nieces and nephews.

Joyce was a caring, compassionate lady who loved helping others. Phone calls to check in, baking for people and always a friendly smile were some of her finest traits. Joyce worked at Bell Canada until she became a stay-at-home mom, which was her greatest joy and accomplishment. Later on, she volunteered her time in the Montreal church community, participating in the choir, Ladies Guild and working as church secretary for many years. A special thank you to her friend Ann for the daily calls that Mom always looked forward to and brought her so much happiness.
