I a I a a DES MOINES REGISTER OCD UNITED PILOTS OK CONTRACT CHICAGO, ILL. (AP) United Airlines pilots ratified a new two-year contract Friday, officials said. The contract calls for wage and benefit increases of 16.2 per cent to some 5,000 pilots over the next two years along with work rules changes that officials said will provide improved use of manpower. Ratification of the contract was made public in a statement by Duane M. Buckmaster, United's vice-president for personnel and industrial relations, and Gerald A.

Pryde, chairman of the Air Line Pilots Association's master executive council. Under the contract, pay increases will vary depending on the type of aircraft flown and will become effective on Feb. 15, 1977, Oct. 1, 1977 and June 1, 1978. The pilots and United reached tentative agreement on the contract Nov.

1 after four weeks of negotiations with a neutral mediator present. Obituaries MARY L. BROOKS Services for Mary Louise Brooks, 56, of 1515 Sixteenth who died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital of a heart attack, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church, with burial at Glendale Cemetery.

A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at Estes and Son Funeral Home. JOHN A. RENDA Services for John A. Renda, 84, of 5105 Welker who died of cancer Friday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, will be at 9:30 -Monday- at St.Augustin's Catholic Church, with burial at Glendale Cemetery, Born in Tiriola, Italy, Mr.

Renda lived in. Des. Moines-. 71 years. He founded Johnnie's Tailoring and Cleaning Shops.

JOHN A. Mr. Renda was a RENOA member of Stemma De Italia and St. Augustin's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; a daughter, Mrs.

K.G. Gyldenvand of Des Moines; a brother, Joseph of Des Moines; a sister, Anna Ursano of Des Moines; a grandson and three greatgrandchildren. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Dunn's Funeral Home on Grand Avenue. HAROLD LEE CLARK Services for Harold Clark, 21, of 4000 Eleventh Place, will be at 3 p.m.

Monday at Funeral Home on Grand Avenue. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery. Mr. Clark died Thursday of injuries he received in an automobile accident near the intersection of Army Post Road and Eightyeighth Avenue. Born in Oelwein, Mr.

Clark lived in Des Moines 17 years. He was a deliveryman for The Des Moines Register and Tribune Company. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Rhonda and Donald Heller of Des Moines; a sister, Karen McCrea of Des Moines; and three brothers, William -Cousins, Burton Clark and Richard Clark, all of Des Moines. HAROLD MARKLEY Services for Harold Markley, 79, of 315 E. Holcomb who died Thursday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, will be at 10:30 a.m.

Monday at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home at Glidden, with burial at a Glidden cemetery. Mr. Markley was a Glidden native and lived there until moving to Des Moines 13 years ago. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs.

Lloyd Davis of Glidden, Mrs. Edward Lawler of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Lysle Kernen of Long Beach, a sister, Mrs. Paul Toyne of Glidden; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the Iowa Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

W.A. McCULLOUGH The Register's lewa News Service CLINTON, IA. Services for William A. McCullough, 79, a retired Clinton County District Court judge who at a retirement home here Thursday, will be at 10 a.m. today at First Presbyterian Church.

He was a past president of the Iowa Bar Association and an unsuccessful Republican candidate for Congress from Iowa's Second District in 1940. As a student at the University of Iowa, he was captain of the 1923 Hawkeye swimming team. Surviving are a son, a daughter and five grandchildren.
