Raul Blanco, for nearly ten years a trusted employee of C. F. Moss, of the Benson Coal and Ice Company, has given up his job to take the place of baggageman at the P. railroad station. The vacancy was made by the departure of Ramon Pacheco for Mazatlan, Mexico, a few weeks ago to work for the Southern Pacific of Mexico.

Red Cross meeting Wednesday afternoon at 3 at the High School. All the women of Benson and vicinity are urged to be present. J. B. Smyth, of Los Angeles, for the Consolidated Lumber was here the latter part of the week representing his firm.

S. Officer John Sullivan captured a bootlegger Thursday night. The man, who gave his name as PL G. San ami ego, of Johnson, was crossing the railroad yard on foot when held up by Mr. Sullivan, and had twenty-four pints of whisky wrapped in a bundle.

He was jailed and taken to Tombstone yesterday by Constable Proffitt. Rifle Club Shoot Tomorrow A rifle shoot for the National Rifle Association medal will be held on the range, near the High School grounds, tomorrow afternoon at 2 In this shoot the members taking part also have the opportunity of qualifying for or under the conditions as required in the army. The target location has been changed and the rang is now more nearly on a level with the marksmen. A new rising-man target is also to he provided. The shoot will consist of thirty shots rapid fire at 200 yards, ten slow fire prone at 300 yards, and ten slow fire prone at 500 yards.

Ten participants required in this contest. Ammunition will be furnished by the club. Members should take advantage of this opportunity of improving their marksmanship. Closing Exercises of Tres Alamos School The eight term of the Tres Alamos school (District No. 82) was finished Friday, May 11.
