ForeignCars to Compete on Kossmyji FAMOUS TRACK STARS & GARS GOME TO FAIR Tho half-mile track of the Kossuth County Fair grounds will be the scene of a series of hotly contested motor battles when a cavalcade of speed demons from the North, tiast, South, and West, Invade Algona with their steel mounts to fight It out for honors and cash prizes on auto race day, Friday, September 1. Some Idea of the calibre of the drivers who will come to Algona to participate In the races can be gleaned from the entry of Slg Haugdahl, holder of more track state, and world's dirt track records than any other driver campaigning the major track circuits. He is the first of the speed aces to officially signify his intention of competing for the prize money at stake at the Kossuth County Fair, according to Secretary E. i,, Vincent. In addition to the great star of speed, many other leaders of the gasoline game will bring their fast speed creations to the Algona half- mile oval to deal out thrills and new records to the gasoline enthusiasts who will turn out for the Kossuth County Fair's auto race program. Ted Hartley, hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana, world capltol of speed, will enter his record-breaking Hispana-Suiza airplane-motored car for the Fair auto race program. Hispana-Sluza racing creations have for years shared honors with the Ferrari racing combinations of Europe who have the exclusive right to all Monoposto Aliha-Romeos, admittedly ainong the fastest and most durable of European racing cars.
