The prospects now are that it will be held at Hutchinson. The Sterling people treated their visitors very nicely yesterday.and may well be proud of the success of the gathering, for they evidently worked hard for it. A meeting of Sterling camp for degree work' was held last night, to which a good many of the members from neighboring towns remained. NOTES ON THE PICNIC.

The Alden camp was awarded the 810 prize for largest percentage of membership present. Every member of the camp, sixteen in number, registered. The Hutchinson Band, as usual.made a fine showing. President Peverly and Secretary Knowlton worked hard, and are deserving of a large share of praise for the success of the gathering, R. A.

Campbell made an excellent speech. There are twenty-six camps in the district covered by the association. Some of them sent very small delegations. They will do better next time. From 1,000 to 1,500 people listened to the speaking in the grove.

Miss Hutchinson band, the uniformed team of the Hutchinson camp, and the large delegation of Hutchinson visitors, formed a very conspicuous part of the parade, and was given the position of honor at the lead. The tramp to the picnic grounds was long and dusty, and upon arrival the band discoursed some sweet, stirring music. Editor Junkiu of Sterling, made a short address of welcome, which was responded to by Dr. Hutchinson, after which dinner was served. The afternoon pro. ram consisted of music, recitations, speeches in behalf of Woodcraft by State Deputy Murpby of Leavenworth, and R.
