C-3 PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE THURSDAY, JANUARY 19, 1995 800 Legal Notices 821 Bids Proposals 821 Bids ft Proposals Local stations air new network OANNE is Stout Shops The new Warner Brothers television network finally has found an affiliate In the Pittsburgh region or, to be precise, two affiliates. Channel 29, a low-power Pittsburgh station that had carried a video jukebox service since its inception in 1989, started running the network's shows last night. So far, Warner offers just one evening of programming two hours every Wednesday night. Lawrence Rogow, whose California-based Venture Technologies Group Inc. owns Channel 29, announced yesterday that he also will broadcast Warner shows on Channel 19 in Johnstown beginning "in a matter of weeks." The two stations will simulcast as WTWB-TV.

"We are filling in the program schedule now," Rogow said yesterday from WTWB's studios in Mon- roeville. "It will be a very traditional television station," he said. fittsburgh had been the largest television market in the United States without a Warner affiliate. The network currently offers four comedy series: "The Wayans Brothers," with Shawn and Marlon Wayans; "The Parent 'Hood," with Robert Townsend; "Unhappily Ever After," from the creators of "Married with and "Muscle," a comedy set in a health club. Channel 19 operated as WFAT-TV, an independent station, in the mid-1980s but ceased operations in 1991.

The station's signal of 1.6 million watts will reach into Allegheny County, Rogow said. Channel 29, in contrast, broadcasts at 10,000 watts, Rogow said.
