In addition to her daughter, Rose Marie, Mrs. DeRiso is survived by two other daughters, Frances Dorsey of Williamsburg, and Patricia Helsel of O'Hara; two brothers, Michael Altrudo and Ralph Altrudo, both of Penn Hills; two sisters, Rose Palombo of Mt.

Lebanon and Elizabeth Muir of Penn Hills; and four grandchildren. Visitation is from noon to 9 p.m. today in Weddell-Ajak Funeral Home, 100 Center Aspinwall. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. tomorrow in St.

Mary Church, 210 Penn Sharpsburg. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Penn Hills. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Lung Association of Western Pennsylvania, 2851 Bedford Pittsburgh 15219. Louise G. Saxton, former state Health Dept.

official Louise Gollwitzer Saxton, 90, a former Pittsburgh resident and a coordinator and administrator for the state Health Department from 1948 to 1968, died Wednesday of sepsis in Allentown, Lehigh County, where she had lived for the past 14 years. A graduate of the Pittsburgh Business School, she was a founder and director of Cedar Mill Memorial Park and of First Presbyterian Church, both in Allentown. She is survived by a son, Samuel B. of Allentown; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The funeral and burial are tomorrow in Allentown, where arrangements are being handled by Burkholder Funeral Home.

Tadeusz Pankiewicz, 85, rescued Jews from Nazis Tadeusz Pankiewicz, a Polish pharmacist who was widely credited with helping Jews escape from Krakow in World War II, in Krakow last Friday. He was 85. The cause was kidney failure, said his wife, Selena Pankiewicz. In 1941, Pankiewicz and other non-Jewish inhabitants of the ghetto in Krakow were ordered to leave, but he persuaded the Nazi administrators to allow him to stay there so that he could continue selling medicine. His pharmacy evolved into a hiding place and a clearing house for escape information.

ELSEWHERE Charles Nusser, 79, a former Pittsburgh resident who fought in the Abraham Lincoln Brigade during the Spanish Civil War of 1936-39, Wednesday in New York City. Howard F. Phillips, 69, science teacher, WWII Flying Tiger Howard Frederick Phillips, a retired science teacher in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District, died Tuesday in Ogden, Utah, after a heart attack. Mr. Phillips, 69, formerly of Robinson, retired in 1984 and moved to Nashville, in 1987 before settling in Ogden in August.

A graduate of Sterling College and the University of Pittsburgh, he served with the famed Flying Tigers who fought for Nationalist China during World War II. He is survived by his wife, June; two daughters, Janis M. of Destin, and Louise P. Wawitter of Dijon, France; a son, Mark M. of Seattle; two sisters, Alice Davis of Robinson and Mildred Furmanchik of Ligonier, two brothers, Robert of State College, Centre County, and Scott of Mill-ville, N.J.; and three grandchildren.

A private service will be conducted tomorrow in Ogden. Burial will be in Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Robinson. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lindquist Mortuary in Ogden. Mary A. DeRiso, former co-owner of dairy store Mary A.

DeRiso, the former owner of a cheese manufacturing company in Pittsburgh's East End, died yesterday at Shady-side Hospital of complications from emphysema. She was 84. Mrs. DeRiso and her late husband, Do-menic, owned and operated the DeRiso Dairy Products which specialized in such Italian cheeses as ricotta, mozzarella and scamorza. Mrs.

DeRiso's daughter, Rose Marie DeRiso of Fox Chapel, said her mother and father's business originally was on Larimer Avenue in East Liberty. When a fire in a neighboring dry cleaning business also destroyed their cheese shop, they reopened on Washington Boulevard near the city Fire Academy. "When I was a teen-ager, I used to work there on weekends and on holidays, when it would get real busy," DeRiso said. After Domenic DeRiso died in 1958, Mary DeRiso kept the shop open for another 10 years with the help of a brother, Ralph Altrudo of Penn Hills. She sold the shop in 1968, her daughter said.
