3. COMPLETELY NEW With the most sweeping model change in 20 years the new staling of the OkKmobile for 1957 is shown In this Super "88" Holiday coupe. Distinguishing the new front end are the new "hi-lo" bumper, twin front fpnder rocket emblems and parking lights adapted from the experimental Golden Rocket. There is a new 277-liorsepower "Rocket" engine among the mechanical changes in the various models. Christmas Club Savings Set Record This Year Mellon Hank Alone Reports 85.860 Persons Are Due lo $10,876,099 There's a new disease in the district called Christmas Club Savings.

It's not a disease actually, but it sure seems to be contagious. According to a Post-Gazette survey yesterday of New Styling InOldsmobile inhile for 1957 has dis tinctive styling innovations and mechanical improvements in eery one of the 17 body styles in three series cf cars. The body is completely new, creating a fashion-new exterior appearance with deeper bumpers and a redesigned grille. Mechanical and structural advances include a new wider and heavier chassis, new "pivot-poise" front suspension of a design that resists dipping, improved rear suspension, a new 277 h. p.

"Rocket" engine, and new 14inch wheels. The accent stripe, an Olds-mobile exclusive, runs more than half the length of the car's side panels between nar-row chrome mouldings. '1 his marks the first new style trend in exterior color application since Oldsmobile introduced two-tone color styling in the body in 1954. The accent stripe permits a new two-tone effect, with the car painted one color and the accent stripe in a contrasting color. However, the conventional two-tone styling is still available as an optional extra.

The 1937 Oldsmobilcs will go on display in dealer showrooms on Friday. "Moreriew.fea.ures and design changes' have gone into the 1957 Oldsmobile than any its predecessors in at least the past two decades," J. F. Wolfram, general manager of Oldsmobile Division and vice president of General Motors, said. The Weather Western Pennsylvania: P'air and mild.

In proceedings yesterday the alleged victim, William Silvio, 9, of 7519 Finance Way, testified that Garrison's truck ran over his ankle August 30. Both William and his brother, Thomas, 11, said Garrison jumped out of the truck, scolded William and then fled. Patrolman William R. Nickel testified he arrested Garrison the next day after tracing the truck to a Homewood auto rental agency.

The truck, Nickel said, had been rented, however, in the name of another man. Garrison gained Die delay in his trial after telling the judge he could produce a witness who would bear out his contention that he did not tlee the scene. nue, where services will be held Friday at 2 p. m.
