BURNS Vied Cart it nnithr Hannibal was slated to play in Danville last night. The players, by using their own cars, got the team on the road. Wilken, scouring around Fans afternoon In Danville, Lyons, the Dans' business manager, rounded up caps for the players. And, the show went on as advertised. The Hannibal plavers received from the league last night at Danville and also fell heir to a little extra.

It was'Merchants' Night at Dan-ville with 3,622 fans taking ad ot free tickets handed out merchants. At the sugges- tion ot a woman, the hat was passed i 1 i for the homeless Hannibals and $200 was collected. The homeless Hannibal club will be quartered at Mattoon the remainder of the season and will return there each night after games at Decatur, Paris and Danville. The players will stay overnight on trips to Vernon. The collapse of the I lannibal franchise had been expected, more or less.
