Dear Sir: I was the foreman of tile Federal Grand Jury recently vaned ill Sherman and whose bills of indictment seventeen persons were convicted for violating liquor laws. While I cannot divulge any of the secrets of the Grand Jury work, I will say it was found that numerous joints where liquor was sold were being conducted in Sherman and Denison almost as openly as saloons. There are two Hollands, one of the dikes and windmills, and one of the flowers, that la seen by comparatively few, says Country Life In America. T. A. McGalliard, of Garza, Denton county, was in the city last week. He is with the farm demonstration work in this state and is himself a practical and successful farmer owning over 200acres of land, improvements, bank stock, all of which he has wooed from the soil. He is an enthusiastic farmer and talks farming in all its various scientific terms and phrases.

You will hate a hard time talking to him for long at a time without discussing farming as conducted by the new school of scientific farmers. So mote it lie.
