With the new entrants the club has practically reached its total possible membership of thirty students. The victims of the recent initiation ceremonies were Louis Napier, Sterling Barnett, Boyd Stylings.

Eugene Hairl and Cecil Hanson. Playing an old fiddle while he sang to its music, Louis Napier entertained an audience at Santa main intersection on the corner of Fourth and Main streets. When Eugene Haid returned from an eucalyptus grove at some dis tance from the city limits, he preferred a charge against the "en gingers" for attempting kidnaping. A resolution has been adopted to get the railway off the streets. City Attorney George Acret states that the franchise givn for 21 yars in 1905 is void and of no effect. An ordinance to have the nuisance removed has been given its first reading. Thirty notice will bo given the Abbott Kinney company, owners of the road, to remove the tracks from Washington boulevard.
