professional golfer for 16 years Before being appointed to the Cambridgeshire Hotel he was professional to the Redhill and Reigate Golf Club for eight years Previously he was in Hong Kong as professional-sports manager at a large department store His father George Huggett is shortly to retire from being professional to Limpsfield Chart Golf Club and is then moving to Bar Hill to put his long experience in sport at the disposal of guests at the Cambridgeshire Speaking of the hotel and its sports facilities he says: "The Cambridgeshire Hotel and Leisure Centre offers first class sports enjoyment not only of the sports activities but of the hotel The Cambridgeshire Hotel Manager is Mr Martin Harvey who joined Cunard-Trafalgar Hotels in May 1972 after being associated with such famous establishments as Savoy Hotel Simpsons-in-the-Sstrand and Fouquets Restaurant in Paris Before his appointment to the Cambridgeshire Hotel Mr Harvey was senior assistant manager at the Hotel Bristol His was one of five hotel management appointments and promotions all from within the Cunard-Trafalgar hotel group arising from the opening of the Cambridgeshire Hotel Accent is on comfort and tapestry measuring 18ft by 6ft designed and made by Brian Ranee and having as its main theme features from the coat of arms of Cambridgeshire The same artist has done the oil painting which hangs in the entrance hall To one end of the bar is a blacony which gives a view of the golf eouurse This will no doubt be a much sought after vantage point when the new Cambridgeshire Golf Club opens for play in the next summer Guest will be able to watch golfers it play in the comfort and convenience of the bar graph in each room is in fact an original Something quite new for hotels in the area are the drinks dispensers installed on each floor one machine to each ten bedrooms From these guests may obtain spirits beer and minerals using a key yvhich will fit only the slot corresponding to its room
