Cole WHITE LAKE Funeral Most Grain Futures Up futures prices advanced CHICAGO (AP) ly on the Chicago, Board of Trade Monday. grain futures also were higher. Trading opened on a strong note across board but by midmorning developments had trimmed the advances made in grain prices. The development appeared to be an Agriculture Department announcement of an expected bumper Soviet crop. A Department official said the USSR may not be in the world market for 1974 grain, although Russia may be seeking 1 to million tons of soybeans.

While most grain prices were trimmed, they remained above Friday's close for the day. Soybean prices remained strong throughout the session and apparently were pulled along by advances made in soybean meal, which was up by about $10 a ton during the day. At the close, wheat was mostly higher by several cents, December 1.69; corn was about 1 to 4 cents higher, December 2.59; oats were about 1 cent a bushel higher, December 1.27½ and soybeans were 8 to 13 cents a bushel higher, November 5.68.
