Dixon, Illinois, Tuesday, January 9, 1951 Loveland Has A Busy Year Loveland Community House can remember the year 1950 as having seen the largest number of guests enter its doors since its opening in 1940. A total of 51,376 pepole fi auenaea various tunctions at the community house last year. Meetings to the number of 1,158 were held. May is shown in the date book of the busy center as the largest month of the year.

A feature of this month during which there were 6,755 guests was the annual Flower Show. August is shown to be the smallest month with a total of 2.407. A glance at the busy date book would disclose the Rotary club, the Dixon Woman's club. Women's and Men's Garden clubs, the Pal myra Grange, American Association of University Women, Girl Bcout leaders, Home Bureau units. ehurch groups, the Ministerial association, private parties, wed ding receptions, recitals and DAR meetings a few of the groups meeting weekly or once or twice during the month.

Remember These Dates? Memorable and outstanding happenings at the Loveland Com munity House the past year will be remembered as the annual Flower Show by the Woman's club, the productions by the Dixon Community Players, the Phidian Art club's Fourth annual exhibition by Dixon artists, the Rotary District assembly, the CAR vention, the Lee County Rural Youth banquet and dance and the DAR Antique and Hobby Show. As 1951 begins, Mrs. Mary Downing, director, and those associated with Loveland Community House are looking forward to such events as the Notre Dame club banquet on Jan. 18th, the Flower show in the spring and many more. A special feature of the house is the Lee County Historical Museum located there.

This museum is open from 1 to 5 p. Every Thursday and Friday. Clarence Cover Jr. Is Party Honoree Mr. and Mrs.

Herbert Geiger of 2015 Cummins street entertained in honor of Clarence H. Cover, Jr. who was on leave from the USS Mississippi, Norfolk, recently. The honoree is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Clarence Cover, 1823 Ninth street. Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Kenyon Geiger and daugh ter, Mr. and Mrs.

Harry Cover and son, Bert Geiger, Earl L. Toms, John Cover and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Cover and family. YOUNG MOTHERS CLUB The Young Mothers club will Bold its meeting tomorrow eve ning at 8 o'clock at the home of Mrs.

Frank Randall, 1121 North Galena. The speaker for the ev ning will be Dr. E. T. Anderson.

Dixon, returned home Sunday nignc alter attending the 77th anniversary banquet of the Chicago Jewelers' association at the Stev ens hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Venier were quests of Stein and Ellbogen and company jewelery distributors. An etimated 1,6000 jewelers from the midwest attended the banquet.
