Bobby Bal lard's boots so well it kept the Sooners in good position It was strictly a fullback left halfback show for method ical ground machine with starting left half Joe Don Looney and starting fullback Jim Grisham and third starting fullback Bud Demp sey getting two touchdowns apiece and third string left half Lance Rentzel the other Longest TD play was seven yard smash The other six came Plentiful Very seldom would OU bother to run wide and this is reflected in figures which show fullbacks and left halfs carried inside the tackles on 74 of 88 running plays Grisham led the line equally as potent holding the Wildcats to just 10 rushing and keeping Die Sooners in good field position Oklahoma officials had expected 47000 for this Band Day clash but some 6000 backed out and they were lucky unless they wanted to watch a breeze against an inept foe So one sided was this 49th re newal of a one sided series that Kansas State had the ball in territory only three times The Sooners
