James Moser Straub of Eige-low boulevard, is the engagement of their daughter. Jean Elise Straub, and John L. Poe, son of Mrs. J. Charles Poe and the late Mr.

Poe of Santa Monica, and Memphis, Tenn. Miss Straub, a graduate of Winchester-Thurston School and Edgewood Park Junior College in Briarcliff Manor, N. made her debut last September. Mr. Poe was graduated from the Christian Brothers Preparatory School in Memphis, and is now a senior in Carnegie Institute of Technology.

BIH Of Rights Day Through Mrs. W. Eugene Gary of the Pennsylvania Society, Colonial Dames of America, Mrs. William D. Sherrerd, Jr, of Philadelphia, has announced that today is Bill of Rights Day.

On that day in 1791 Virginia became the tenth state to ratify the first 10 amendments to the Constitution, making them the law of the land. That Bill of Rights is based on an earlier one written in 1776 by George Mason of Gunston Hall, Virginia. His home, viunston Hall, 3C miles from Washington, is now open to the public as a national shrine under the custody of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America. Vassar Luncheon Next Tuesday at 12:15 the Pittsburgh Vassar Club will give its annual Christmas luncheon in the College Club. Mrs.

Franklin Bell is in charge of the decorations and Miss Claire Bloom is organizing the entertainment. The program will include skits by recent alumnae and by some of the Pittsburgh girls now attending Vassar. On the list of those invited are the Pittsburgh girls who are still at Vassar. Some of these will arrive from college on Saturday, among them: Frances Aaron, Mary Booth, Barbara Bennett, Jane Callo-mon, Gerda Rice and Carolyn Stallworth. Muslcale-Reunion Tomorrow morning the annual Christmas musical program will be given in the Winchester-Thurston School for parents and alumnae returning from college for the holidays.

This year the annual carol sing will be preceded by the Tschai-kowsky "Nutcracker Suite," given by a chorus and ballet from the school. Christmas Party At the Protestant Home for Children there will be a Christmas entertainment on Sunday at three. The program will be given by the girls and boys of the home at 1940 Perrysville avenue.
