Relief Being Planned For Real Estate Agency in Everv State Suggested to Cut Down Levies. Renewed effort for tax relief for real estate has been mapped for realtors of the nation as a result the meeting of the National Association of Real Estate Boards' national committee on real estate taxation in Chicago last week, according to local realtors who attended. The Pittsburgh board was represented at the session by J. H. Aronson and F.

J. Holub. Among the recommendations made by the committee was the proposal that an agency to be set up by each state and territory of the United States, vested with the power to review any proposed tax levy or bond issue and revise them downward. In the case of bond issues, the proposed agency would have the power of veto. The findings of this authority would be binding upon local taxing units unless reversed by a direct vote of the taxpayers affected, according to the plan suggested by the committee members.

The committee also recommended that each state and territory set an over-all limit for real estate tax rates, not to exceed one per cent, by constitutional amendment, and that each state and territory amend its tax assessing laws so that taxable value of real estate is computed on the basis ff income production. The committee also urged broadening the scope nt the committee by appointment of representatives of other national groups interested in real estate taxation as members. Brick House Sold. The Y. A.
