President Art Rooney, who had returned from the NFL antitrust hraiings in Baltimore Friday morning, visited Kies, his longtime friend, several hours before he died.

"Kies was one of. the finest men I have ever met." Roonpy said last night. "We have been close friends since he first came here In and I am deeply grieved. Despite the fact that thfl cxert have installed Farrell the favorite, due no doubt to its better all-around seasonal record, you can bet your bottom dollar that Springdale'n coach, Chuck DeVenzio, will have a trick or two up his sleeve to toss at Eddie McClus-key's Steelers. Both clubs stress. defense to the nth degree so any idea of a high-scoring game can automatically go out the window, unless, of course, one of the teams gets a real hot hand and sails off to the races.
