Willis Davis. 21 years old, and Pfc. James Davis, 19 years old, joined the enlisted reserve corps in November, 1942, at Adrian College. After being called to active duty, their basic training was received at Atlantic City before being transfererd to the Army School at Fargo, N. where they completed their courses July 21.

They were later sent to Las Vegas, N. M. Pie. Administration Willis Daris is now stationed at the Army Air Forces Regional Hospital, Coral Gables. and his brother is in the traffic and priority school at Miami.

Fla. They are sons of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Davis ordered to pay a $5 fine and costs! of $8.40 or serve 30 day jail: sentence. Perez paid.

Ration Board Needs VolunteersEvery effort is being made to have new truck gasoline ration books mailed by September 30, it was announced today at the ration office, but more volunteers are requested for processing the applications.

Books of individual operators will be mailed to them but fleet operators are to call in person at the office. More volunteers are also requested for processing fuel oil applications. Arrested for Drunk Lawrence Flannigan. years old, of Hudson. was arrested by sheriff's officers last night and charged with drunk driving.

He was arrested after he struck a carl driven by another motorist north of Hudson. The name of the other driver was not learned. Flannigan was brought to the county jail. Arrested on Bailey Rucker. 48 years old, of Toledo.

was arrested by Michigan State Police of the Blissfield post about 7 o'clock last night for drunk driving. was driving to Toledo from Adrian on US-223. The arrest was made in Riga township. A potluck dinner will be served at noon. Good Luck sisters will be revealed and new names will be drawn. More Local News on Page Seven Weddings. Morningstar-Dentel A wedding of charming simplicity took place Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the home of Mr. and Mrs.

Earl Dentel, when their daughter Doris R. became the bride of Hardy E. Morningstar, son of Mr. and Mrs. John C.

Morningstar of Tipton. The vows were exchanged before an improvised altar in front of the window in the living room. Large vases of flowers banked the setting. The double ring ceremony was read by the Rev. F.

D. Hague of Onsted. Mrs. Ben Dentel, aunt of the bride, played the wedding march as the wedding party took their places. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was beautiful in a street-length dress of royal blue velvet.

It was fashioned on princlines, with a sweetheart neckline, and trimmed with dainty lace. She wore a corsage of white rosebuds and lilies of 'the valley. Miss Carolyn Ingleheart of Blissfield, the bride's only attendant, wore a dress of Burgundy velvet and a corsage of white snapdragons and baby chrysanthemums. Harlan Griffith of Sand Creek attended the bridegroom. Mrs.

Dentel chose for her daughter's wedding, a dress of luggage tan with which she wore black accessories. Mrs. Morningstar wore navy blue with matching accessories. Their corsages were of Talisman roses. A reception was held at the home, after the ceremony.

The wedding party and immediate families were seated at a large table centered with the bride's cake which was topped with a miniature bride and bridegroom. The friends were seated at a smaller table centered with garden flowers. The Misses Mary Ann Dentel and Emily Wimple assisted with the serving. The bride is a graduate of Onsted high school with the class of 1943 and has been employed at the Schwarze Electric Co. Mr.

Morningstar graduated from Adrian high school in 1937 and since then has been employed at the Oliver Instrument Co. They will make their home near Adrian after they return from a short trip. Relatives and friends were present from Detroit, East Lansing, and Brooklyn and Toledo, Ohio. Social Activities For the pleasure of Mrs. Herbert Clarke, who before her recent marriage was Miss Jane Peterson, Miss Carolyn Thompson, Mrs.

Von Borton and Miss Olga Hoben entertained with a miscellancous shower of charming appointments Saturday evening in the Thompson home North McKenzie Street. Contract bridge was the diversion of the evening and honors were won by Miss Ann Kaiser and Miss Marjorie Taylor. Later Mrs. Clarke was presented with many lovely gifts. In conclusion the hostesses served a luncheon from a table centered with an attractive centerpiece of white gladioluses and white tapers.

The wedding will be an event of Thursday evening. Miss Warner is a graduate of Adrian high school and Bales Beauty School of Jackson, having been a beauty operator for the last three years. Mr. Crane has been in service for the last four years and is now serving in the navy and is stationed in California. Because of gasoline rationing the delivery of the tickets for the luncheon of the Adrian Woman's Club Tuesday afternoon, Oct.

5, has been impossible this year but they will be available at Goldman's Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons from 2 to 5 o'clock. The club year will open with the luncheon at which time the year books will be distributed. The luncheon will be served in the Methodist church at 1 o'clock. Mrs. Martha Thomas of 230 Comstock Street, observed her 90th birthday anniversary today. St. Mary's Catholic parish has purchased the property on Division Street directly opposite the church site from the Mary Rogerson estate. In the future it is parish hall will be built.

Miss Rheta Collins, daughter of Mrs. Catherine Collins, who is in training at Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Jackson, underwent an operation Saturday in the hospital. Her condition was reported satisfactory yesterday. Junior Strong of Bent Oak Avenue, 16-year-old Adrian high school junior, made his solo flight today at the Adrian airport after receiving Instruction from Mrs. John Gott chalk.

Midshipman Keith Bailey, and Midshipman Harold Lang. also a former Adrian College student, visited at the home of Midshipman Bailey's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bailey, over the week end. They are attending midshipman school on the campus of Northwestern University.

Eldredge. Mrs. Mabel Tolford was in Hillsdale yesterday where she called on Mrs. Zua Kedzie who sick in the Davis home. Mrs.

R. E. Meyer of Galesburg, was the week-end guest of her parents Mr. and Mrs. George McComb of Madison Street.

and Mrs. Earl Pratt and daughter Nancy Jean of Syracuse, N. Y. They are also visiting Mr. Pratt's sister Mrs.

Pvt. and Mrs. Robert F. Smith of Fort Riley, are spending a ten day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.

M. E. Smith. Mrs. Richard Egan, who with her daughter Marcia will remain with her parents Mr.

and Mrs. Arthur Severance for the duration, spent the week end with Pvt. Egan at Fort Banjamin Harrison, Indianapolis. Pvt. Egan was inducted into the army from Toledo two weeks ago.

Corp. Otis Clapp has returned to Bayonne. N. after spending a 15 day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.

G. Clapp of 1028 Michigan Avenue. His brother, Pvt. Irving Clapp, also has returned to Love Field, Texas, after spending 15 days with his wife and son, Neil, at. Blissfield and his parents.

It was the first time the brothers had seen each other in nearly two years. Miss Marian Zumstein of Holly was in the city visiting relatives over the week end. Mrs. Vernon Miller arrived this morning from Huntington, to spent a few day's with her mother, Mrs. Cathryn Reynolds.

Charges PreferredRaymond Cronk, 17 years old, and Donald Weaver, 17, both of Saginaw, who were arrested at the fair grounds by sheriff's officers Friday night for slashing three hogs exhibited by 4-H boys, are 1o be arraigned today on charges of malicious mischief in the "willfull and malicious disfiguring of animals," Prosecuting Attorney L. J. Hammond said today.

4-Xcar-Old Girl Hurt- Four-year-old Barbara Steffens. daughter of Harold C. Steffens of Petersburg. suffered minor bruises about the face at 6:45 o'clock Saturday night when the Steffens car collided with another driven Arden Lane of 424 East Church Street. The accident happened on West Maumee Street just west of 1.he Winter Street intersection as Mr.

Lane was making a left turn into a driveway. Mr. Steffens was driving away from the curb when the collision happened. Barbara's injuries were treated at the office of Dr. L.

J. Stafford. The mishap was reported to city police. State Troops DrillCompany of the Michigan State Troops under the command of Capt. Guy Punches put in a full day of military practice when they marched in formation to their rifle range in Raisin four miles north of Adrian.

The men left town at 10 o'clock in the morning and returned about o'clock last night after completing rifle drills at the range. Camp was! set up and mess served at noon by! Sgt. 27-Mrs. Lena A. Dowling, 76 years old, wife of H. Ray Dowling, died' in her home here at 12:40 o'clock day afternoon after a long illness. Besides her husband she is survided by two foster-children E.

The burial will be in the North Dover cemetery, Deaths Mrs. H. Ray Dowling Roy Burlingame Special, 1 to The Telegram TECUMSEH, Sept. 27-Roy Burllingame, a former resident of Tecumseh, died last night in his in Los Angeles after a long illness. He was the son of the late Mr.

20 at the home of her daughter Mrs. Elizabeth Tuttle in Detroit, was held Friday morning in St. Lawrence church in Detroit and the burial was in Holy Sepulchre cemetery in Detroit. Mrs. Sielinski who was 86 years old was the widow of Peter Siclinski and her home was northwest of Tecumseh.
