Doing Your Share To Help OSSUTH SERVICE #>< BONDS U B N i , shi f) tin U- Mi da tei joj Be Be pe; \\ •brl toi pa V« lei ag fei TK uti du IN APRIL :s $50 to Shell from j >*" «*, »"» 7 '« This is the last week—the last days of the April war bond drive. It's the last chance to have your name on a bond, and have that bond count on this month's quota. When this drive was started the committeemen, all busy themselves said that Kossuth people would buy bonds. \ Kossuth people are patriotic. Kossuth people have boys—sons, brothers, yes even fathers, in the service. All that is necessary is to let them know—and they'll do the job. These committeemen were proud of Kossuth people. Last week a man went into a bank—his name is still his business in this country-— and purchased a $50 war bond with the air of saving the country. He could have bought $2,000 worth and still had cash on hand. The committeemen began to wonder wheth- er Kossuth people had changed. . Then a woman — and her name too is still her business in this country—bought a $50 bond. Her husband is in the army—at 50 bucks per month. She works. That $37.50 she put into a bond meant a new Easter outfit—or a trip to see her man. It's things like the latter that make this country great. It's things like that that fighting men fight for. It's real. That girl saving money for HIM to get a start when HE gets back, and God grant that he comes back, is the America we want the America that does its BEST instead of its bit. That girl was doing her part so that her man could know the folks back home were not letting him down. She didn't want him to think the people of his county—his town —didn't care. She wanted him to be proud to return home. .. •i € He Says "Thumbs Up" What Do You Say?
